Jackson County

Street address

Start typing a street address. VetTOC reads only the county or town from it and opens its page.

Choose a level. County is what this county sets or runs itself. State is what Florida provides everywhere, including here. Federal is always last.

A filter hides a benefit only when that benefit has a rating gate and the rating you set misses it. A benefit with no rating gate stays on the list. No disability needed keeps only the benefits a living veteran can use without any service-connected disability rating: one that needs a rating or a disability, or may, stays off, and so does one only a surviving spouse or other family member can use. Who it is for means who can receive the benefit in their own right; a survivor is the family of a veteran or service member who died, and a child of one is listed under both. This is not an eligibility decision.

MiscellaneousJackson County, FL · County

HousingJackson County, FL · County

The Jackson County Property Appraiser takes first applications in person, January 1 to March 1, at 4445 Lafayette Street, Room 106, Marianna, (850) 482-9646. Its page lists the total exemption for a service-connected total and permanent disability and a $5,000 exemption it narrows to service-connected disabilities; the combat discount and deployed exemption appear only as forms, and the wheelchair exemption not at all.

10% for the $5,000 exemption; total and permanent for the full exemption. The $5,000 exemption starts at a 10% disability. The full exemption needs a service-connected total and permanent disability. The 65-plus discount equals the combat-related percentage.

Education & EmploymentJackson County, FL · County

The Jackson County Code carries no local business tax, and the Tax Collector publishes no business tax receipt service, so a veteran opening a business in unincorporated Jackson County owes the county no business tax and needs no exemption. A city inside the county that levies one applies section 205.055.
