Refund Policy

How to cancel a VetTOC subscription, when a payment is refunded, and who refunds it, depending on where you subscribed.
Before charging starts
VetTOC does not charge anyone yet. Every signed-in account can use the paid features at no charge, so there is nothing to cancel or refund today. This policy says how cancellations and refunds will work once paid plans are charged, and it applies from then.
What you pay for
The Command plan is a subscription of $4.99 a month that renews each month until it is canceled. There is no yearly plan. One subscription covers a household, and its owner is the one who pays.
Where you subscribe decides who bills you, and so how you cancel and how a refund is made:
- on the website, VetTOC bills you through Stripe, which handles your card;
- in the iOS app, Apple bills you through the App Store; and
- in the Android app, Google bills you through Google Play.
Canceling
You can cancel at any time, and there is no fee for canceling.
- A subscription bought on the website is canceled from your account on the website.
- A subscription bought in the iOS app is canceled in your Apple account's subscription settings. See Cancel a subscription from Apple.
- A subscription bought in the Android app is canceled in Google Play. See Cancel, pause, or change a subscription on Google Play.
Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. Deleting your VetTOC account is refused while a subscription it pays for is still running, so cancel first.
Canceling stops the next renewal. The paid features stay until the end of the month already paid for. After that the catalog stays free to read, the paid features lock for you and for everyone with a seat in your household, and an offline pack in the app stays readable but stops updating.
Refunds for website subscriptions
A month that has started is not refunded in part when you cancel; you keep the features until it ends. We refund a website payment:
- in full, when you withdraw within 14 days under the right described below;
- in full, when you were charged in error, such as twice for the same month, after a cancellation had taken effect, or the wrong amount; and
- for the unused part of the month, when we close your account without you having broken the Terms of Service, or stop running VetTOC.
To ask for a refund, write to [CONTACT EMAIL] from the address on the account, with the date of the charge. A refund goes back through Stripe to the card that paid. How long it takes to show depends on your bank.
Refunds for App Store and Google Play purchases
When you subscribe in an app, Apple or Google takes the payment, not us, and their refund rules apply. We do not see your payment details.
App Store. Only Apple can refund an App Store purchase; we cannot. Ask Apple, as Request a refund for apps or content that you bought from Apple explains.
Google Play. Google Play's refund policies apply, as Learn about Google Play refund policies explains. Ask Google first. If Google sends you to us as the developer, write to us and we apply this policy, making any refund through Google Play.
EU, EEA and UK: your 14-day right to withdraw
If you are a consumer living in the European Union, the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom and subscribe on the website, you may withdraw from the subscription within 14 days of the day you first subscribe, without giving a reason.
We honor this right in full even though the paid features start straight away: if you withdraw in time, we refund everything you paid for the subscription. We do not ask you to give the right up, and we keep nothing back for the days you used.
To withdraw, tell us before the 14 days end with a clear statement, by email to [CONTACT EMAIL] or by post to [REGISTERED ADDRESS]. You may use the model form below, but you do not have to. Sending it before the period ends is enough.
We refund you within 14 days of the day we hear from you, to the card you paid with, at no charge to you. The subscription then ends and its paid features lock. A new subscription after an earlier one has ended starts a new 14 days.
For a subscription bought in the App Store or Google Play, Apple or Google handles withdrawal under its own terms, as described above.

Failed payments
If a monthly payment fails, Stripe, Apple or Google tries it again for a while, and the paid features keep working while it does. If the payment still does not go through, the subscription ends, the paid features lock, and nothing more is charged.
Price changes
If the price goes up, we tell you before the new price applies, and you can cancel before it does. Apple and Google may also ask you to agree to a new price in the app store.
Your legal rights
Nothing in this policy takes away a right that consumer law where you live gives you. Where the law gives you more than this policy does, the law applies.
