Where it applies

Applies in states and territories.

The Rogers STEM Scholarship extends the Post-9/11 GI Bill, or the Fry Scholarship, for training in high-demand science, technology, engineering and math fields. It pays up to nine months of added benefits or $30,000, whichever comes first, at the monthly amounts the student already receives. The student must be eligible at the 100% level, have six months or less of entitlement left, and be either in an undergraduate STEM degree that needs at least 120 semester hours, with 60 or more completed, or have a STEM bachelor's degree and be working toward a teaching certification, or be in covered post-graduate clinical training for health care professionals. Transferred-benefit users are not eligible. Funding is limited each year and VA gives priority to students who need the most credit hours. An approved scholar has six months to start using it. Apply on VA Form 22-10203.
