Florida's counties may run veteran service offices under chapter 292; see the Florida entry. "The Jackson County Veteran Services Office staff helps area veterans and their family members obtain Federal Veterans Administration benefits." Its page links the VA's PACT Act presumptive lists, the Marianna VA clinic, the State Veterans' Nursing Homes, the Tallahassee National Cemetery, military records requests and the Florida Department of Veterans' Affairs' 2026 benefits guide.
What it did in 2025. The county's 2025 Annual Report credits the office with "8,691 interactions", a "724 monthly average", "861 claims filed" and "1,039 military records reviewed" in fiscal 2025, an 18% rise in monthly interactions and 27% more claims than in fiscal 2024; it charts the VA disability compensation and pension paid to the county's veterans at $38.2 million for 2025. Its goal for 2026 is "onboarding our new Veteran Service Officer and expanding public outreach".
Where. Jackson County Veterans Services, 2863 Green Street, Suite A (2nd Floor), Marianna, FL 32448; (850) 718-0003. Director Julie Warren, [email protected]. The page publishes no hours, so call first. The office moved to the historic Russ House, 4318 Lafayette Street, in March 2024 and has since left it - the Board leased the Russ House to the Chamber of Commerce from March 1, 2026 and added a copier in February 2026 "now that Veterans Services is moving"; an energy-savings proposal before the Board on April 14, 2026 lists "Supervisor of Elections/Veteran Svs." at 2851 Jefferson Street. A 2024 press release still gives the Lafayette Street address.
