Bradford County

Street address

Start typing a street address. VetTOC reads only the county or town from it and opens its page.

Choose a level. County is what this county sets or runs itself. State is what Florida provides everywhere, including here. Federal is always last.

A filter hides a benefit only when that benefit has a rating gate and the rating you set misses it. A benefit with no rating gate stays on the list. Who it is for means who can receive the benefit in their own right; a survivor is the family of a veteran or service member who died, and a child of one is listed under both. This is not an eligibility decision.

MiscellaneousBradford County, FL · County

Bradford County Property Appraiser: Veteran Exemptions

HousingBradford County, FL · County

Bradford County's Property Appraiser, 945 North Temple Avenue, Suite A, Starke (904-966-6216), takes the $5,000 exemption for a veteran disabled 10% or more, the total exemption for a service-connected total and permanent disability, the deployment exemption and the 65-plus combat discount between January 1 and March 1; its page adds a five-year marriage test for surviving spouses that the statutes do not set and cites the discount to the wrong section.

10% for the $5,000 exemption; total and permanent for the full exemption. The $5,000 exemption starts at a 10% disability. The full exemption needs a service-connected total and permanent disability. The 65-plus discount equals the combat-related percentage.

Bradford County: No Local Business Tax to Exempt

Education & EmploymentBradford County, FL · County

The Bradford County Code carries no local business tax - its taxation chapter holds the sales surtax, gas tax, senior homestead exemption, fire rescue surtax, tourist development tax and the elderly-parent homestead reduction - and the Tax Collector publishes no business tax service, so a veteran opening a business in unincorporated Bradford County owes the county none. A city that levies one applies section 205.055.

No county business tax; statute applies where a city levies one. Bradford County levies no local business tax, so no veteran exemption is needed at the county level. Any city tax follows section 205.055: honorable discharge, or a listed spouse.
