Charlotte County

Street address

Start typing a street address. VetTOC reads only the county or town from it and opens its page.

Choose a level. County is what this county sets or runs itself. State is what Florida provides everywhere, including here. Federal is always last.

A filter hides a benefit only when that benefit has a rating gate and the rating you set misses it. A benefit with no rating gate stays on the list. No disability needed keeps only the benefits a living veteran can use without any service-connected disability rating: one that needs a rating or a disability, or may, stays off, and so does one only a surviving spouse or other family member can use. Who it is for means who can receive the benefit in their own right; a survivor is the family of a veteran or service member who died, and a child of one is listed under both. This is not an eligibility decision.

Charlotte County Property Appraiser: Veteran Exemptions

HousingCharlotte County, FL · County

The Charlotte County Property Appraiser takes exemption applications by March 1, including the $5,000 exemption for a veteran disabled 10% or more in wartime or by service-connected misfortune and the full exemption under section 196.081 for a total and permanent service-connected disability, with a discount for veterans 65 and older honorably discharged with a service-connected disability.

10% for the $5,000 exemption; total and permanent for the full one. The $5,000 exemption starts at a 10% wartime or service-connected disability. The full exemption needs a service-connected total and permanent disability. The 65-plus discount needs an honorable discharge and a service-connected rating.

Twentieth Judicial Circuit Veterans Treatment Court (Charlotte County)

MiscellaneousCharlotte County, FL · County

The Twentieth Circuit's Veterans Court diverts eligible current and former service members with severe mental health or substance use disorders from prosecution; veteran status is established by a DD-214, and Charlotte cases come by transfer under the state problem-solving court transfer guide, since the programme's residency default is Lee County.

Justice-involved veteran. The court is for a veteran with a pending criminal case who volunteers and is accepted. A disability rating is not the test.
