A filter hides a benefit only when that benefit has a rating gate and the rating you set misses it. A benefit with no rating gate stays on the list. No disability needed keeps only the benefits a living veteran can use without any service-connected disability rating: one that needs a rating or a disability, or may, stays off, and so does one only a surviving spouse or other family member can use. Who it is for means who can receive the benefit in their own right; a survivor is the family of a veteran or service member who died, and a child of one is listed under both. This is not an eligibility decision.

HousingSearcy County, AR · County

Searcy County's tax collector, Sheriff Kenny Cassell ex officio, in Marshall ((870) 448-5050), takes the State's disabled veteran exemption on the home and personal property; his page says nothing about it, and since Act 876 of 2025 the VA letter is a one-time filing.

The Twentieth Judicial Circuit's Veterans' Court Program, held in Faulkner County by Circuit Judge Charles E. Clawson III's Third Division, takes veterans charged with a felony into court-supervised treatment before or after adjudication, with most counseling from the VA in Little Rock; the plan lists it among Faulkner County's cases, so Van Buren and Searcy defendants should ask about referral.

Veteran charged with a felony in the Twentieth Circuit. Acceptance into the program; no disability rating is needed.

Free help with a VA claim

A county veterans service officer, a town veterans’ agent or a state service office helps you file VA claims for free, most of them through staff VA has accredited. VA does not let anyone charge you for help filing an initial claim.

Arkansas Department of Veterans Affairs and Veterans Service Officers

The cabinet-level Arkansas Department of Veterans Affairs runs the homes, cemeteries and a network of state, district and county veterans service officers who help with VA claims at no charge.
