The State framework is in the Arkansas entry on veterans treatment courts. The Twentieth Judicial Circuit's administrative plan, the one the Judiciary posts as current, has a Veterans Court Program section signed by Circuit Judge Charles E. Clawson III, Third Division: "The 20th Judicial Circuit Veterans' Court program has been in operation to help provide veterans with additional services to address their rehabilitative needs. Court sessions are conducted in Faulkner County. The program utilizes a pre-adjudication and/or post-adjudication process and is open to defendants with a felony charge." The team. The judge, the prosecuting attorney, the public defender, a treatment provider, probation officers, Community Correction administrative staff and a coordinator, "and a representative from the Veterans' Affairs Office in Little Rock". The program has no funding of its own; "most of the counseling services provided are provided by the Veterans' Affairs Office in Little Rock". The plan names no discharge test and no disability rating. Who can be referred. The plan's case allocation gives the Third Division "100% of Veterans Court" among its Faulkner County cases and lists no veterans court docket for Van Buren or Searcy County, whose criminal cases are assigned to other divisions. A Van Buren or Searcy defendant's attorney should ask the prosecutor and the court whether the case can be referred or transferred to the Faulkner County sessions. The plan names no coordinator or phone; the Circuit Clerk of the county where the case is filed can say when the court sits (Searcy: Cassie Ward, County and Circuit Clerk, (870) 448-3807). The Judiciary's 2022 veterans treatment court map shades Faulkner.
