The Warren County Assessment Office, Chief Assessor Brian A. Bull, C.P.E., in the basement of the courthouse at 204 Fourth Avenue (814-728-3420), takes the State's disabled veterans' real estate tax exemption for the parcels on its rolls; the exemption itself is the Department of Military and Veterans Affairs' to grant.
100 percent permanent service-connected, wartime. A 100% permanent and total service-connected rating from VA with wartime service; ownership, occupancy and the State financial test apply as the Pennsylvania entries state.
Warren County's Auditor takes the State's disabled veteran homestead application by mail, but its homestead page describes only the senior and disability programme and its $41,000 income test, which do not apply to a disabled veteran.
100% service-connected. A total rating of 100% for service-connected disability, or compensation at 100% for individual unemployability.
Warren County’s Commissioner of the Revenue in Front Royal takes the statewide home exemption on the house and up to five acres for a veteran rated 100% permanent and total. It asks for a notarized application, a driver’s license, and a mortgage statement, and its page still ties a surviving spouse to the same home.
100% permanent and total. Warren County applies the statewide exemption to the house and up to five acres. It does not add an income test. One path is a VA rating of 100% that is service-connected, permanent, and total.
The Warren County PVA, 429 E. 10th Avenue, Bowling Green, takes the homestead exemption for an owner classified totally disabled by a federal programme such as the VA, renewed every year; its page still prints the 2021 amount of $40,500, and the State figure for 2025 and 2026 is $49,100. 270-843-3268.
Classified totally disabled by a federal programme, including the VA. The applicant must be classified totally disabled for the whole year and receive disability payments under that classification. A VA total rating or individual unemployability counts; a partial rating does not.
Warren County relieves 25% to 100% of real estate tax on the home and up to five acres for a permanently and totally disabled owner with household income up to $60,000 and net worth up to $300,000, with no dollar cap. The code accepts a VA certification; the county’s page does not mention one.
Permanent and total disability. The owner is permanently and totally disabled and unable to work, or 65. VA, Social Security, the Railroad Retirement Board, or two doctors can certify it. A VA rating alone is not the test.
Warren County grants the State's alternative veterans exemption at level K (up to $36,000 for wartime service, $60,000 more for combat and $120,000 for disability, times the equalization rate) and the Cold War exemption at level A; its proposed Local Law 8 of 2026 would fully exempt from county tax the home of a veteran rated permanently and totally disabled, with a public hearing on November 20, 2026.
Permanent and total, for the proposed full exemption. The proposed Local Law 8 of 2026 needs a VA finding of permanent and total service-connected disability; the alternative and Cold War exemptions need wartime or Cold War service and add half the rating.
Warren’s Exemptions page describes an additional exemption “provided by the CT State Statute CGS 12-81f” that OLR’s survey recorded the town as not offering, and prints no amount for any veterans’ exemption; the assessor posts the state’s Form D-2 guidelines for the 12-81(83) exemption.
Wartime service or a VA rating, set by state law. The exemptions rest on C.G.S. 12-81(19) to (26): 90 days of wartime service with a qualifying discharge filed with the town clerk, or a VA disability rating. Amounts above the base turn on rating and income. The rating filter does not hide this entry.
Warren’s veterans’ property tax exemptions under R.I. Gen. Laws 44-3-4, with the statutory figures for Warren and the day each was read. Confirm the current amount with the assessor.
Service and discharge set by state law. A veteran of a war, conflict or Cold War service period named in 44-3-4 or 44-3-4.2, honorably discharged, discharged under conditions other than dishonorable, or still serving honorably; or the unmarried widow or widower. No disability rating is needed for the basic exemption, so the rating filter never hides this entry.
Warren’s Exemption Guides and Forms page posts the Commonwealth’s FY2027 Form 96-4 beside the Department of Revenue’s guide, with no amount of the town’s own, so this entry gives the statute’s; its Veteran’s Agent is Jeanne Tatro, whom the EOVS directory’s row and the town’s May 2026 parade flyer still name Michelle Durkee.
A VA rating, a decoration, or a surviving relative. Clause 22 reaches a veteran rated 10 percent or more, a Purple Heart recipient, a Gold Star parent and the spouse or unmarried surviving spouse; 22A to 22E turn on named losses, decorations, a 100 percent rating or specially adapted housing. The rating filter does not hide this entry, because several routes need no rating.
Warwick’s veterans’ property tax exemptions under R.I. Gen. Laws 44-3-4, with the statutory figures for Warwick and the day each was read.
Washington County's Real Property Tax Services, 383 Broadway, Fort Edward (518-746-2130), lists the caps each town, village and school district has set on the State's alternative veterans exemption (the county's own: $33,000 wartime, $22,000 more for combat, $110,000 for disability, with Gold Star parents included) and on the Cold War exemption (the county's: 10% up to $8,000, with no ten-year limit). Apply to the town assessor with the DD-214.
Wartime or Cold War service, discharged under honorable conditions. The State tests apply by local option; a disability rating raises the alternative exemption but is not needed for it.
The Washington County Auditor, 205 Putnam Street, Marietta, takes the State's disabled veteran homestead credit on DTE 105I, due December 31; its page still says $50,000 of market value, where the State figure is $59,400 for tax year 2026, and it posts the 2016 form, which gives the old June deadline.
100 percent or paid at 100 percent for unemployability. A total disability rating, or compensation at 100% for individual unemployability, on January 1; discharged under honorable conditions.
A National Guard or reserve member called to active duty, or the member's spouse or dependent parent, can ask the Washington County Treasurer to put off the property tax on the home falling due during the duty and six months after it, then pay in instalments with the penalties and interest removed (Revised Code 323.122); apply on the Treasurer's form with the orders, 740-373-6623.
Guard and reserve members called to active duty, and their spouses or dependent parents. Revised Code 323.122; no rating is needed. Apply with the orders, and with the release within six months of it.
The Washington County Auditor in St. George takes the State's veteran exemption, up to $535,459 of taxable value by disability percentage and nothing below 10%, on the Veteran's Property Tax Relief application by September 1 with a DD-214 and VA rating letter; the County Commission, sitting as the Board of Equalization, refunds vehicle fees to veterans entitled to the exemption.
10% to 100% service-connected. The county takes the State exemption for a service-connected rating from 10% to 100%; the benefit scales by the bands in the Utah entry.
The Washington County collector publishes its own disabled-veteran exemption page, read live in a browser on October 12, 2026: turn in the VA Summary of Benefits letter with proof of the eligibility date, annually by October 15, at the courthouse in Fayetteville, a Collector.DAV email, or the three revenue-office collector branches.
100% permanent and total, special monthly compensation, or qualifying survivor. The county collector administers the State exemption under Ark. Code Ann. Section 26-3-306. The disability test is the State test, not a county one.
Washington County takes the statewide home and one-vehicle exemptions for a veteran rated 100% service-connected, permanent, and total. Its vehicle form asks for the form back by July 1 and a vehicle owned on January 1, which the statute does not.
100% permanent and total. Washington County applies the statewide exemptions to the home and to one car or pickup. It states the 100% service-connected, permanent, and total rating. It does not add an income test. One path is a VA rating of 100% that is service-connected, permanent, and total.
Washington County's Property Appraiser, 1331 South Blvd., Suite 300, Chipley (850-638-6205), takes exemption applications by March 1. Its exemptions page limits the $5,000 exemption to a disability "caused by a service-connected disability" and its FAQ to a "war-time disability", where section 196.24 takes either, and neither page describes the combat discount, wheelchair or deployment exemptions, which appear only as forms.
10% for the $5,000 exemption; total and permanent for the full exemption. The $5,000 exemption starts at a 10% disability from wartime service or by misfortune. The full exemption needs a service-connected total and permanent disability. The 65-plus discount equals the combat-related percentage.
Washington County Property Records takes the State's homestead market value exclusion for a veteran with a disability and for a surviving spouse on the county's own two applications, mailed to 14949 62nd Street North, Stillwater, by December 31 for taxes payable the following year; 651-430-6175.
70% or higher service-connected rating. The State exclusion needs an honorable discharge and a 70% or higher service-connected rating; surviving spouse routes differ (see the Minnesota entry).
Washington County discounts real estate tax by 80% to 20% for a permanently and totally disabled owner with 2026 income up to $46,363 and net worth under $100,000. A qualifying owner who is a member of, or eligible for, the Disabled American Veterans gets at least $100.
Permanent and total disability. The owner is permanently and totally disabled and unable to work, or 65. A VA certification is accepted. A VA rating alone is not the test.
From July 1, 2026, state law requires Washington County and its towns to credit 100% of their property tax on real property that Platoon 22, Incorporated owns and uses to house veterans. It is a credit to the organization, not to an individual veteran.
Washington County's Trustee takes the state's disabled veteran property tax relief applications in Jonesborough and Johnson City, and Washington County matches the state payment toward the county tax, up to the billed amount - a 67-5-701(j) supplement. The 2026 county rate is $1.71 per $100.
Permanent and total, as VA determines it. Washington County matches the state payment toward the county tax, up to the billed amount. The rating route in 67-5-704(b)(3) asks for service-connected permanent and total disability as determined by VA, which a veteran paid at the total rate through unemployability that VA has found permanent also holds. It is recorded rather than enforced because the paraplegia, blindness and loss-of-limbs route and the prisoner of war route need no rating at all.
A credit against the county property tax equal to the veteran’s permanent service-connected rating, from 10% to 100%, with no income test, and for the unremarried surviving spouse in the same home. Apply to the Treasurer by June 1 through the state veterans department, and reapply every three years.
Any permanent service-connected rating. The credit is the same percentage as the permanent service-connected rating, so any rating of 10% or more earns a credit. A temporary rating does not count.
An exemption from regular and excess property tax levies at a 40% rating from taxes collected in 2027 (80% before), or a total disability rating. It carries an income test, but VA disability compensation and DIC are excluded from the income counted, which is what makes it reachable.
40% service-connected evaluation, from taxes collected in 2027. RCW 84.36.381(3)(a)(ii)(A) as amended by chapter 200, Laws of 2025: a combined service-connected evaluation of at least 40 percent, for taxes levied for collection in 2027 and after. For taxes collected in 2026 the floor was 80 percent.
Washington’s veterans page prints the additional veterans exemption at income of $46,300 single or $56,500 married - the state’s own 12-81g limits - and posts the 12-81(83) and active-duty motor vehicle applications.
The Washoe County Assessor applies the State's veteran exemption and its disabled veteran exemption at 60% or more, against real property if the Exemption Selection Card is returned by June 15, or against vehicle and personal property taxes. Its FAQ omits Nevada's rule that separate ratings are added together, and the five-year marriage test for a surviving spouse.
60% permanent for the disabled veteran exemption. The disabled veteran exemption starts at a permanent service-connected disability of 60%, counting separate ratings added together. The general veteran exemption needs qualifying service and no rating.
Waterbury’s assessor gives the wartime veterans’ exemption, a higher one for a disability rating, and for a veteran with lower income the state additional exemption, which doubles the one already received. OLR’s 2023 survey reports a 12-81kk primary-residence option that the city’s page does not mention.
Waterford’s local option takes $10,000 off the assessment of a wartime veteran or surviving spouse with income below $71,300 single or $81,500 married for the 2026 grand list, and its page collects the state exemptions, including the dwelling exemption for a permanent and total rating.
Watertown’s Code § 28-103 gives a $6,000 additional exemption to a wartime veteran or a surviving spouse under the state income limit, and its veterans page prints a $4,500 basic reduction and state and local options at income limits of $45,200 single and $55,100 married.
Watertown’s assessors give the veterans’ clauses an exemption amount that “varies” and post the state’s forms, so this entry gives the statute’s: $400 for a veteran rated 10 percent or more, and full exemption under 22D and 22F.
The Wayne County Auditor takes Indiana's disabled veteran property tax deduction and credits on State Form 12662; its deductions page still prints the old $14,000 and $24,960 deductions and the $240,000 cap, which the 2026 law replaced with a full deduction for total disability and $350 and $250 credits from taxes due in 2027.
A disability of 10 percent or more. The State tests apply: total disability for the full deduction, 10% or more with wartime service for the $350 credit, 10% or more at 62 for the $250 credit.
Wayne County's page on the State's $45,000 disabled veteran homestead exclusion: an honourably discharged veteran with a permanent and total service-connected disability on January 1, or adapted housing benefits, or the unmarried surviving spouse, with no age or income limit; apply by June 1 with the VA award letter, and the Board of Commissioners approves late applications regularly.
Permanent and total service-connected disability. The rating path is a permanent and total service-connected disability on January 1. A section 2101 adapted housing grant qualifies instead; the filter cannot test that.
Wayne County's own guide to New York's three veterans real property tax exemptions - the alternative exemption at 15 percent of assessed value for wartime service, plus 10 percent for combat zones and half the disability rating, the Cold War exemption and the eligible-funds exemption - with the surviving spouse's retention, and the Real Property Tax Service's briefing that the 458-a full exemption would remove roughly $8 million of taxable assessed value across 40 parcels if the county and its towns opt in.
Half the disability rating reduces assessed value further. The alternative and Cold War exemptions add a reduction of half the service-connected rating; the full exemption needs total disability.
In Wayne County the disabled veteran exemption is filed with the city or township assessor, not the county. The County Treasurer's tax relief page lists poverty, deferment and hardship programs and never mentions it, so a 100% permanent and total or unemployable veteran must ask the assessor.
Filed with the local assessor. The full exemption needs a VA permanent and total rating at 100%, an unemployability rating, or a specially adapted housing grant, filed with the city or township assessor. Deferment needs household income of $40,000 or less.
Weber County's Clerk/Auditor takes the State's disabled veteran tax relief - a VA disability rating of 10% or greater for the veteran, or for the unmarried surviving spouse or minor orphan child with the VA affidavit and letter - verified each year, filed by September 1, 2026, for up to $535,459 of taxable value; the county runs it through its applicant portal with annual verification.
10% or greater service-connected rating. The exemption needs documentation from the VA showing a disability rating of 10% or greater; the benefit scales to a 2026 maximum of $535,459 of taxable value.
Webster’s assessors post the state’s veteran exemption form and no amount of their own, so this entry gives the statute’s: $400 for a veteran rated 10 percent or more, and full exemption under 22D and 22F.
The Weld County Assessor administers the State exemption - half of the first $200,000 of actual value exempted and paid by the State - and limits a multiple-residence owner to one designated primary residence; its page states no application deadline, so confirm with the office.
100% permanent rating. One path is a 100% service-connected rating VA has made permanent.
Wellesley’s Veteran Exemptions Guide prints the statutes doubled and raised by both years’ adjustments, $845 under clause 22 to $3,170 under 22C and $2,114 under 22E, and its own HERO Act note records that the town accepted clauses 22I and 22J at the 2025 Annual Town Meeting.
West Bridgewater’s own REVISED FY27 sheet prints the veterans’ statutes - $400 under clause 22 to $1,500 under 22C and $1,000 under 22E - beside "WB Exemption" maxes of $528.39 to $1,981.47 and $1,320.98, the statutes raised by both years’ adjustments and increased a quarter, what clauses 22I and 22J at 25 per cent produce; the sheet conditions the increase on a town meeting vote and the 2026 annual warrant’s Article 5 proposed the section 5C½ acceptance, so its entry asks the assessors; its Veteran’s Agent is the town’s own David Farrell, and its district court, Brockton’s, hosts a veterans’ treatment session.
West Brookfield’s assessors post no exemption amounts, its veterans’ application being the state’s own Form 96-4 and its guide the Division of Local Services’ generic booklet, so this entry gives the statute’s.
West Greenwich’s veterans’ property tax exemptions under R.I. Gen. Laws 44-3-4. West Greenwich publishes $100 tax credit for its basic veterans’ exemption; the statutory figures and every amount here carry the day they were read.
West Hartford’s local option takes $10,000 or 10 percent of assessed value, whichever is greater, off for a wartime veteran with income up to $70,200 single or $80,100 married on the 2025 grand list. Its code also adopts the 12-81g(b) option for a veteran rated 100 percent.
West Haven’s guide gives a $6,000 veterans’ exemption and $12,000 to $21,000 by disability rating, and its Code § 211-6 adopts the 12-81g(b) option for a veteran rated 100 percent. The city also takes applications for an unemployability exemption under § 211-6 that the codified section does not contain.
West Springfield prints the statute: $400 for a disabled veteran, a Purple Heart recipient or a surviving spouse, up to a full exemption; its assessors’ sheet also records a 10 per cent water-rate discount for last year’s exemption recipients, the town’s own.
Not a veterans benefit, but it carries one veteran-specific rule: service abroad does not break the two-year residency test. The $20,000 has not moved since 1990.
A general exemption, not a veterans benefit. West Virginia Code 11-6B-3 grants the exemption to any owner who is sixty-five or older or certified permanently and totally disabled. Military service is not a route to it, so the rating filter never hides this entry, and a veteran qualifies through the disability certification like anyone else.
A refundable income tax credit for the full property tax paid on your home, not a property tax exemption. Opens at 90%, and since June 12, 2026 unemployability qualifies on its own.
Service-connected rating of 90% or more. The credit opens at ninety percent. Ninety percent is an unusual threshold. Most states that gate a property tax benefit on a rating set it at one hundred, so a West Virginia veteran at ninety should check this entry rather than assuming the usual rule.
A 125-bed residential home, not a nursing facility. Long-term residents pay half their monthly income; veterans facing homelessness get 60 days free.
No disability rating required. Admission turns on discharge, service length, VA health care eligibility, and the ability to live independently. No rating applies, so the rating filter never hides this entry.
West Warwick’s veterans’ property tax exemptions under R.I. Gen. Laws 44-3-4, with the statutory figures for West Warwick and the day each was read.
Westborough’s Tax Relief and Exemption Information page prints the veterans’ statutes beside a maximum exemption column at twice them, naming no option, so this entry gives the statute’s and asks the assessors what the maximum rests on.
