Its "Deductions" page lists a "Totally Disabled Veteran $14,000 Deduction Code 1" (assessment no more than $240,000; totally disabled, or at least 62 and 10% or more disabled) and a "Partially Service-Connected Disabled Veteran $24,960 Deduction Code#2, Code#3" (at least 10% service-connected; unmarried surviving spouses may qualify), "$38,960 if you qualify for both", each proved by a VA pension certificate or award of compensation or a certificate from the Indiana Department of Veterans Affairs. It adds that any unused deduction goes first to personal property tax and then as a credit against vehicle excise tax (IC 6-6-5-5), and that the Auditor will certify the credit on request. House Enrolled Act 1210 of 2026 made the section 14 deduction a deduction of the home's whole assessed value for a totally disabled veteran, with no value cap, and replaced the $24,960 deduction and the age-62 route with flat $350 and $250 credits, from the 2026 assessment date (taxes due in 2027). Anyone who held the old deductions should file State Form 12662 again by January 15, 2027; see the Indiana entries. The page's figures are the pre-2026 ones. Where.
