The Washington County Auditor, 205 Putnam Street, Marietta, takes the State's disabled veteran homestead credit on DTE 105I, due December 31; its page still says $50,000 of market value, where the State figure is $59,400 for tax year 2026, and it posts the 2016 form, which gives the old June deadline.

The credit is the State's (Revised Code 323.151 and 323.152; see the Ohio entry for the current amount, the unemployability route, the surviving spouse rule, the December 31 filing date and the one-time House Bill 479 share). The Auditor's page. "Ohio's Homestead exemption for disabled veterans allows qualifying Ohio disabled veterans to reduce their property taxes by exempting $50,000 of the home's market value", with the State's brochure and DTE 101 and DTE 105I. That is the figure before House Bill 33's inflation adjustment: for tax year 2026 real property the State's figure is $59,400. The same page gives the ordinary senior and disability homestead as $25,000. The form it posts. The DTE 105I on the Auditor's forms page is revision 2/16, which says to "File with the county auditor after the first Monday in January and on or before the first Monday in June" and that "the applicant must be 100% disabled by or be receiving 100% compensation for service-connected injuries on Jan. 1". The filing date has since moved to December 31 for real property; take the current form from the Department of Taxation, or ask the Auditor's office for it. The test is a 100% rating or pay at 100% for individual unemployability, with a discharge under honorable conditions (bring the DD-214). To share in the House Bill 479 relief on the bills of early 2027, a newly qualified veteran should be approved before the State's November 1, 2026 count. The office.
