The exemption is the State's (Section 170 of the Kentucky Constitution and KRS 132.810); the Kentucky entry explains it. The Warren County PVA's page: "The taxpayer must have been classified as totally disabled under a program authorized or administered by an agency of the United States Government, or any retirement system either within or outside the state of Kentucky on January 1st for the year in which the application is made and maintain the disability classification through December 31st; The taxpayer must be receiving disability payments pursuant to that disability classification; and An application for the disability exemption must be made on an annual basis." It names the Veterans Administration among the programmes. A stale figure. The page says "The exemption for 2021 is $ 40,500." The State sets the amount every two years; for 2025 and 2026 it is $49,100 (the Kentucky entry, and the Kenton County PVA's page). How. File the Homestead Application with a Notice of Award and a letter showing payments through the year, by e-mail or at the office. The Kentucky entry notes that a totally disabled veteran is excused from reapplying every year, which the page does not say. 429 E. 10th Ave., Bowling Green, KY 42101; 270-843-3268; 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
