Show FiltersHide Filters

A filter hides a benefit only when that benefit has a rating gate and the rating you set misses it. A benefit with no rating gate stays on the list. No disability needed keeps only the benefits a living veteran can use without any service-connected disability rating: one that needs a rating or a disability, or may, stays off, and so does one only a surviving spouse or other family member can use. Who it is for means who can receive the benefit in their own right; a survivor is the family of a veteran or service member who died, and a child of one is listed under both. This is not an eligibility decision.

Jefferson County Board of Commissioners: the Veterans Service Office rename and the county programme it kept

MiscellaneousJefferson County, PA · County

The Jefferson County Board of Commissioners (Jefferson Place, 155 Main Street, 2nd Floor, Brookville; agendas posted as WordPress posts with the current minutes section returning 'Nothing Found') carried the window's veteran item - the August 2025 rename of the county's Veterans Affairs Office to the Jefferson County Veterans Service Office on director Jonathan Wyble's proposal, 'to dispel any confusion that we are not federal, but we are county with the state of Pennsylvania' - and kept the county programme the office runs: the burial and headstone allowances, the cemetery care, the Memorial Day flags and emblem markers and the county DAV van; no benefit was adopted, narrowed or repealed.

No eligibility - a board record. The record documents the county’s veterans-services administration; it grants no individual entitlement.

Jefferson County Register & Recorder: DD-214s filed among the recorded documents

MiscellaneousJefferson County, PA · County

The Jefferson County Register & Recorder (200 Main Street, 2nd Floor, Brookville, 814-849-1610) lists 'File DD-214s' among the Recorder of Deeds' services, beside the deeds, mortgages and notary filings and the CSC e-recording; the free recording is 16 Pa.C.S. Chapter 13, carried by the State entry.

Any veteran with a discharge. Recording a DD-214 is free under 16 Pa.C.S. Chapter 13 and no rating is needed. The rating filter never hides this entry.
