Show FiltersHide Filters

A filter hides a benefit only when that benefit has a rating gate and the rating you set misses it. A benefit with no rating gate stays on the list. No disability needed keeps only the benefits a living veteran can use without any service-connected disability rating: one that needs a rating or a disability, or may, stays off, and so does one only a surviving spouse or other family member can use. Who it is for means who can receive the benefit in their own right; a survivor is the family of a veteran or service member who died, and a child of one is listed under both. This is not an eligibility decision.

Clayton County Tax Commissioner: Disabled Veteran Homestead Exemption

HousingClayton County, GA · County

The Clayton County Tax Commissioner's exemption page sets the disabled veteran exemption at $121,812 for tax year 2025, requires a DD-214, and gives five eligibility routes headed by a VA letter adjudicating the veteran totally and permanently 100% disabled, with the homestead deadline of April 1 every year.

100% service-connected. One path is a 100% rating adjudicated by VA; statutory awards for loss of limbs or sight, and unemployability paid at the 100% rate, are other paths the filter does not test.

Clayton County Veterans Treatment Court

MiscellaneousClayton County, GA · County

Clayton County runs a certified Veterans Treatment Court funded by grants from the Council of Accountability Court Judges, continued for fiscal 2027 by Resolution 2026-76, for qualified veterans already involved in the county's criminal justice system.

Justice-involved veteran. The court is for a veteran with a pending criminal case in Clayton County who volunteers and is accepted. A disability rating is not the test.

Free help with a VA claim

A county veterans service officer, a town veterans’ agent or a state service office helps you file VA claims for free, most of them through staff VA has accredited. VA does not let anyone charge you for help filing an initial claim.

VetTOC has not written a veterans service office for Clayton County yet. The state’s service offices below serve it.
