Choose a level. County is what this county sets or runs itself. State is what Arkansas provides everywhere, including here. Federal is always last.

A filter hides a benefit only when that benefit has a rating gate and the rating you set misses it. A benefit with no rating gate stays on the list. No disability needed keeps only the benefits a living veteran can use without any service-connected disability rating: one that needs a rating or a disability, or may, stays off, and so does one only a surviving spouse or other family member can use. Who it is for means who can receive the benefit in their own right; a survivor is the family of a veteran or service member who died, and a child of one is listed under both. This is not an eligibility decision.

Poinsett County (Arkansas) Collector: Disabled Veteran Property Tax Exemption

HousingPoinsett County, AR · County

Poinsett County's tax collector, Sheriff Kevin Molder ex officio, whose Collector's Office is in County Annex 2, 108 N. East St., Harrisburg (870-578-4415), takes the State's disabled veteran exemption on the home and personal property; neither the county's nor the Sheriff's page says anything about it, and since Act 876 of 2025 the VA letter is a one-time filing.

100% permanent and total, special monthly compensation, or qualifying survivor. The county collector administers the State exemption under Ark. Code Ann. Section 26-3-306. The disability test is the State test, not a county one.

Arkansas Department of Veterans Affairs and Veterans Service Officers

The cabinet-level Arkansas Department of Veterans Affairs runs the homes, cemeteries and a network of state, district and county veterans service officers who help with VA claims at no charge. Since 2025 jails and prisons must check every new inmate's veteran status and tell the department, and employers with 50 or more employees must post a veterans benefits notice.
