Greenfield’s individual exemptions page prints $500 under clause 22, $937.50 under 22A, $1,562.50 under 22B, $1,875 under 22C, full exemption under 22D, $1,250 under 22E and full under 22F, the statutes raised a quarter, what clause 22J at 25 per cent produces.
A VA rating, a decoration, or a surviving relative. Clause 22 reaches a veteran rated 10 percent or more, a Purple Heart recipient, a Gold Star parent and the spouse or unmarried surviving spouse; 22A to 22E turn on named losses, decorations, a 100 percent rating or specially adapted housing. The rating filter does not hide this entry, because several routes need no rating.
Greenwich’s credits and benefits page gives wartime veterans the exemption on a DD-214 filed with the Town Clerk before October 1, a disabled veterans’ exemption on VA proof, and the P.A. 18-47 benefits for PTSD, traumatic brain injury and military sexual trauma. It prints no amounts.
Wartime service or a VA rating, set by state law. The exemptions rest on C.G.S. 12-81(19) to (26): 90 days of wartime service with a qualifying discharge filed with the town clerk, or a VA disability rating. Amounts above the base turn on rating and income. The rating filter does not hide this entry.
The Greenwood County Auditor - Ashley Henderson, 28 Monument Street, Suite 107, Greenwood (864-942-8543, fax 864-942-8724) - 'Provides Homestead Exemption for the disabled and the senior citizens of the County', the State's homestead and disabled-veteran exemptions under Title 12 whose duties the page cites to Title 12, chapter 39 and the Department of Revenue.
Homestead and disabled-veteran exemptions. The State’s tests apply - age or disability for the homestead, the disabled-veteran tiers for the exemption - taken at the county level through the Auditor.
Gregg County's Tax Assessor-Collector publishes the year's exemptions chart and tax rates: the county's own row grants the over-65 homestead 20 percent and the disability homestead and the disabled veteran each 20 percent plus $25,000, with the veterans' disability amounts determined by GCAD, and Gregg County's 2026 total tax rate is 0.330292 (0.320542 maintenance and operations plus 0.009750 interest and sinking).
The partial disabled-veteran exemption starts at a 10% rating. The county applies the optional 20% plus $25,000 exemption its disabled-veteran column prints; the State exemptions run through GCAD.
Griswold’s assessor page says the office administers the veterans’ exemptions among its programs and prints no amounts; OLR’s 2023 survey records the town answering no to every municipal option.
Wartime service or a VA rating, set by state law. The exemptions rest on C.G.S. 12-81(19) to (26): 90 days of wartime service with a qualifying discharge filed with the town clerk, or a VA disability rating. Groton’s local option takes $10,000 off the assessment of a wartime veteran or surviving spouse with income up to $71,300 single or $81,500 married for the 2026 grand list. It sits on top of the state exemptions, including the $1,500 basic exemption and the dwelling exemption for a permanent and total rating.
Groveland’s assessors post the Commonwealth’s fact sheet and the state’s Form 96-4 with no amount of the town’s own, so this entry gives the statute’s; its Veteran’s Agent is the town’s own Michael G. Ingham, whose EOVS row lists a Haverhill office and a different phone.
The Grundy County Assessor's Exemptions & Special Valuations page prints the veterans' exemption routes - the Disabled Veterans Standard Homestead Exemption (30-49 percent $2,500, 50-69 percent $5,000, 70 percent or more the first $250,000 of EAV exempt, on PTAX-342 with the yearly PTAX-342-R), the Disabled Veterans Homestead Exemption (up to a $70,000 reduction for a specially adapted home, IDVA-determined and reestablished annually) and their mutual exclusion with the Disabled Persons Homestead Exemption.
At least a 30 percent service-connected disability. The DVSHE amount follows the VA-certified service-connected percentage: 30-49 percent $2,500, 50-69 percent $5,000, 70 percent or more the first $250,000 of EAV exempt; PTAX-342 with the yearly PTAX-342-R.
The Guadalupe Appraisal District takes the State's disabled veteran and surviving spouse exemptions through its own online application tool or on paper, at offices in Seguin and Schertz. Its homestead form is the Comptroller's October 2025 revision, with the boxes for the 100% exemption, unemployability and the presumptive-condition spouse.
10% for the partial exemption; 100% or unemployable for the homestead. The partial exemption starts at 10%. The total homestead exemption needs 100% compensation with a 100% or unemployability rating. The surviving spouse exemptions need no rating.
Total exemption from Guam real property tax on the residence of a veteran rated one hundred percent disabled or individually unemployable, and of a surviving spouse or legal guardian. Subletting one room does not break it.
Rated one hundred percent disabled. 11 GCA § 24401.1(a)(1) requires that the veteran be determined by VA to be one hundred percent disabled due to military service-connected injuries. The exemption continues only as long as that rating does.
A direct loan authority that survives in the code with a $16,000 ceiling set decades ago and an era limit that stops at Vietnam. It is on the books and it is not a housing plan.
No rating requirement, but a hard era limit. 12 GCA § 4109 reaches veterans who served during the Second World War, the Korean Conflict or the war in Vietnam and were honorably discharged. No disability percentage is involved, and service in a later conflict is outside the section.
How Guilford County runs the State's $45,000 disabled veteran homestead exclusion: form AV-9 with a certified NCDVA-9, by post or by hand in Greensboro or High Point, by June 1, with late applications taken until a week before the Board of Equalization and Review's last December meeting. The page states the veteran's routes as the statute does but not the surviving spouse's.
Permanent and total service-connected disability. The rating path is VA's certification of a permanent and total service-connected disability, as of January 1. A section 2101 adapted housing grant qualifies instead, and an unremarried surviving spouse qualifies on any of the veteran's routes or a service-connected death; the rating filter cannot test those.
Guilford’s assessor presents the dwelling exemption for a veteran rated permanently and totally disabled at 100 percent through the text of the act that enacted it and an OLR question-and-answer, and proves the wartime exemption on a DD-214 filed with the Town Clerk by September 30.
How the Gwinnett County Tax Commissioner runs the State's disabled veteran homestead exemption, $126,526 for 2026, which it describes as needing a VA letter of a 100% rating, leaving out unemployability and the other routes. A disabled veteran who cannot work may also qualify for the county's own full exemption from school taxes, with an income limit that VA compensation does not count against. A 2025 Act to add disabled veterans to a $2,000 school exemption has not been put to voters.
100% service-connected. One path to the State exemption is a 100% rating. Statutory awards for loss of limbs or sight, and adapted housing eligibility, are other paths the filter does not test. The school exemption for disabled residents turns on a doctor's letter and income, not a rating.
A HUD Housing Choice rental voucher paired with VA case management for a homeless veteran, with housing first and no sobriety or treatment precondition.
Homeless and low income. The veteran must be homeless and meet the public housing agency’s income limit.
Haddam’s relief page prints the wartime exemption at $2,000 with an automatic additional exemption of half the entitlement, and the income-qualified additional at twice the entitlement, applied February 1 to October 1.
A veteran with an honorable discharge and at least 90 days of active duty, or Alaska Territorial Guard service, who is the high bidder at a Haines Borough land sale can take 25 percent off the bid above the borough’s surveying and development costs. The preference is once in a lifetime, and the land cannot be resold for five years.
Honorably discharged veterans with 90 days of active duty. The preference turns on service and discharge, not a rating, so the rating filter never hides this benefit.
Haines exempts the State’s first $150,000 and, by its own code, the value from $150,000 up to $300,000 of the home of a veteran rated 50 percent or more who meets the Permanent Fund Dividend requirements. A separate application is due every year by March 31. An October 6, 2026 initiative to cut the cap to $200,000 lost in the unofficial count, 599 to 507.
50 percent or more service-connected. HBC 3.70.030(A)(6)(c): a disabled veteran whose disability has been rated as 50 percent or more, subject to AS 29.45.030(e) through (i).
Halifax County’s Commissioner of the Revenue takes the statewide home exemption for a veteran rated 100% service-connected, permanent, and total, on the dwelling and one acre. The county’s surviving-spouse form still asks the spouse to keep occupying the exempted property, which the statute does not require.
100% permanent and total. Halifax County applies the statewide exemption to the dwelling and one acre. It does not add an income test. One path is a VA rating of 100% that is service-connected, permanent, and total.
Halifax County relieves up to $500 of the real estate tax on a home and up to one acre of an owner who is 65 or older or permanently and totally disabled, with income up to $22,000 and net worth up to $60,000. File annually; the 2025 form set a February 28 deadline.
Age 65 or permanently and totally disabled. The owner is 65 or older as of December 31 of the prior year, or permanently and totally disabled as section 20-767 defines it. A VA rating alone is not the test.
Halifax’s own fiscal 2027 Exemption Handout prints the statutes doubled and raised by the fiscal 2027 adjustment of 2.7 per cent - $822 under clause 22, $1,541 under 22A, $2,568 under 22B, $3,081 under 22C and $2,054 under 22E, full under 22D and 22F - what clauses 22I and 22J at 100 per cent produce with a fiscal-2027 first application, no acceptance named, so its entry asks the assessors; its Veteran Services is the town’s own, Steve Littlefield the Director of Veterans Services, where the EOVS directory’s row gives a different phone.
Hamden’s Code § 36.48 gives a $15,000 additional exemption to a wartime or disabled veteran, or a surviving spouse, whose income is not more than $25,000 above the state limit.
The Hamilton County Auditor's page is current on House Enrolled Act 1210's $350 and $250 credits and new 100% deduction, due January 15, 2027, but describes the deduction as for a "total disability rating" where IC 6-1.1-12-14 accepts a VA pension certificate, and leaves out the surviving spouse. It rightly says a home held in a trust does not qualify.
A total disability for the 100% deduction; 10% for the credits. The 100% deduction needs a total disability, which a VA pension certificate can also show. The $350 and $250 credits start at 10%. Recorded, not enforced.
Hamilton County's Auditor takes the State's disabled veteran homestead application, and asks for applications by October 16, 2026 so new homes share in the State's one-time 2026 homestead relief. Its page asks for a DD-214 showing an honorable discharge, where the statute accepts any discharge under honorable conditions.
100% service-connected. A total rating of 100% for service-connected disability, or compensation at 100% for individual unemployability.
Hamilton County matches the state's disabled veteran property tax relief from its own funds, adding a county payment to the state's, never more than the tax paid. The Trustee's FAQ says the veteran must be rated 100 percent, which leaves out the paraplegia, blindness and loss-of-limbs route that needs no rating, and mentions a combat-related test that applies only to surviving spouses.
Permanent and total, as VA determines it. The state relief, which the county matches. The rating route in 67-5-704(b)(3) asks for service-connected permanent and total disability as determined by VA, which a veteran paid at the total rate through unemployability that VA has found permanent also holds. It is recorded rather than enforced because the paraplegia, blindness and loss-of-limbs route and the prisoner of war route need no rating at all.
Hamilton’s assessors post the Commonwealth’s own fact sheet and combined Form 96 with no amount of the town’s own, so this entry gives the statute’s; its veterans’ services are the Cape Ann district’s, Vionette (Vee) Chipperini the District Benefits Coordinator, from Gloucester, and its Senior Citizen Property Tax Work-Off Program is the seniors’ alone.
Hampton applies the statewide exemption for a veteran rated 100% service-connected, permanent, and total, or paid at 100% for individual unemployability, by in-person appointment with original VA documents. The page contradicts itself on whether a surviving spouse may move.
100% permanent and total. Hampton applies the statewide exemption to the principal residence. It accepts payment at the 100% rate for individual unemployability with a permanent and total finding. It does not add an income test. One path is a VA rating of 100% that is service-connected, permanent, and total.
Hampton offers a permanently and totally disabled owner a freeze or a deferral of real estate tax, not an exemption, with household income up to $67,000 and assets up to $200,000.
Permanent and total disability. The owner is permanently and totally disabled, or 65, by December 31 of the prior year. A VA rating alone is not the test.
Hampton’s assessor page says the office administers exemption programs for veterans, elderly, blind and disabled persons and posts the D-2 disabled-veteran application, an active-duty Connecticut resident application and an SCRA non-resident affidavit without printing a veteran amount, and the town did not answer OLR’s survey.
The Hancock County Auditor, 111 American Legion Place, Suite 217, Greenfield (317-477-1105), takes Indiana's disabled veteran property tax benefits on State Form 12662, and warns that a veteran who had the old deduction must apply again under HB 1210 (2026); its page asks for applications by December 31, 2026, while the State's FAQ allows January 15, 2027.
A disability of 10 percent or more. The State tests apply: total disability for the full deduction, 10% or more with wartime service for the $350 credit, 10% or more at 62 for the $250 credit.
The Hancock County Tax Assessor/Collector, Jimmie Ladner, Jr., 854 Highway 90, Suite C, Bay Saint Louis (228-467-4425), administers Mississippi's homestead exemptions, reached at 228-467-5727 - the route for the State's full ad valorem exemption of a 100 percent disabled veteran's home and the elderly and disabled exemption beside it.
100% service-connected, or an honorably discharged veteran 90 or older. The assessor administers the State exemptions; the disabled veteran route takes a 100% service-connected rating, the age route an honourable discharge and the age (85 for claims in 2027).

100% permanent and total. Hanover applies the statewide exemption to the house and up to 10 acres. It states the total, permanent, 100% service-connected rating. It does not add an income test. One path is a VA rating of 100% that is service-connected, permanent, and total.
Hanover gives up to $3,500 a year of real estate tax relief on the house and up to 10 acres for a totally and permanently disabled owner with combined income up to $60,000 and net worth up to $400,000.
Total and permanent disability. The owner is totally and permanently disabled, or 65, and lives on the property. VA can certify the disability. A VA rating alone is not the test.
Hanover’s clause 22 page prints no amount of the town’s own - "Disabled Veteran Exemptions vary on severity of disability" - and asks the pre-HERO Act five years’ residence before entering service, so this entry gives the statute’s (read through the Internet Archive, the site’s Cloudflare checkbox looping); its Veterans’ Services is the town’s own, Terrence O’Keeffe the officer at the Council on Aging, whose senior-and-veteran work-off runs up to 125 hours at minimum wage.
Hanson’s pages print no clause amounts and its site answers a Cloudflare challenge, so this entry gives the statute’s, read through the Internet Archive’s captures; the EOVS directory names its agent.
The Hardin County PVA takes the homestead and disability exemption on the Department of Revenue's 62A350 application, sworn and filed with the PVA by December 31 of the year sought, with verification documents by December 31 in the first year of eligibility; the disability route needs total disability under a government programme, and the veteran amount is the Section 170 maximum.
100% disabled under a government programme. The disability route needs a person "classified as totally disabled under a program authorized or administered by an agency of the United States government or by any retirement system", which a 100% VA rating satisfies.
A credit of 20% of the county and highway property tax, for up to 20 years, for a service member or veteran with a permanent service-connected disability, or the unremarried surviving spouse, where the home was assessed at $600,000 or less. The Treasurer asks for a rating of 50% or more, which the code does not.
Permanent 50% in the Treasurer’s rules. The Treasurer asks for a permanent service-connected rating of 50% or more. The code itself sets no minimum rating, so the rating filter does not hide this credit below 50%.
A credit of 20% of the county and highway property tax, for up to 20 years, on the home of a military retiree who is 65 or older, or the unremarried surviving spouse of 65 or older, where the home was assessed at $600,000 or less. Apply between January 15 and April 1 every year.

How Harnett County runs the State's $45,000 disabled veteran homestead exclusion: forms AV-9 and NCDVA-9, the NCDVA-9 certified first by a veterans service office, filed January 1 to June 1, on paper or online. The page asks for an "honorably discharged" veteran and names no route to the exclusion beyond that.
How the Harris Central Appraisal District takes the disabled veteran exemptions. Its chart gives a surviving spouse or child a flat $5,000, where Tax Code 11.22 gives the spouse the amount the veteran had, up to $12,000; the $5,000 is the figure for the survivor of a member who died on active duty.
