Choose a level. State is what this state provides everywhere. A county or city page adds its own level. Federal is always last.

A filter hides a benefit only when that benefit has a rating gate and the rating you set misses it. A benefit with no rating gate stays on the list. Who it is for means who can receive the benefit in their own right; a survivor is the family of a veteran or service member who died, and a child of one is listed under both. This is not an eligibility decision.

Delaware Court Fines and Fees Waiver for Veterans Receiving VA Benefits

MiscellaneousDelaware · State

From March 8, 2027, a Delaware court must presume that a defendant who receives a VA pension or any VA service-connected disability compensation cannot pay court fines and fees, and may impose them only if it finds that doing so is in the interest of justice.

Any compensable service-connected rating, or a VA pension. 11 Del. C. § 4107(c)(2)a.6. [effective March 8, 2027]. Recorded rather than enforced because the VA pension route needs no rating.

It does not touch county tax or the vocational school tax, and an unremarried surviving spouse keeps it.

100 percent schedular rating. 14 Del. C. § 1917(d)(1)c.1. The statute reads "100% disability compensation due to a service-connected, permanent and total disability based on individual unemployability or a 100% disability rating", so the rating must also be permanent and total.

Who Counts as a Veteran in Delaware

MiscellaneousDelaware · State

Delaware has no single definition. The newest and most common test, in the veterans affairs chapter, is any active duty including Guard and reserve service with a discharge other than dishonorable. State hiring, license plates and the wartime diploma each use something narrower, and the Green Alert for a missing veteran uses no discharge test at all.

The broad test: active duty including Guard and reserves, other than dishonorable. 29 Del. C. § 8811(c), repeated in § 8803(2) and borrowed by § 6310A. No minimum days and no wartime period.
