Allegheny County

Street address

Start typing a street address. VetTOC reads only the county or town from it and opens its page.

Choose a level. County is what this county sets or runs itself. State is what Pennsylvania provides everywhere, including here. Federal is always last.

A filter hides a benefit only when that benefit has a rating gate and the rating you set misses it. A benefit with no rating gate stays on the list. Who it is for means who can receive the benefit in their own right; a survivor is the family of a veteran or service member who died, and a child of one is listed under both. This is not an eligibility decision.

MiscellaneousAllegheny County, PA · County

Allegheny County Veterans Services takes applications for the State's Veterans' Temporary Assistance for food, shelter, utilities and other necessities. The county says it is for disabled veterans; the statute needs no disability, and opens to any veteran discharged other than dishonorably after active duty.

Other than dishonorable discharge, death in service, or a service-connected disability. Any one of the three makes a veteran eligible under 51 Pa.C.S. 8501; no rating is needed for the first. The household must also show an immediate need beyond its control.

Allegheny County: Applying for the State's Disabled Veterans Real Estate Tax Exemption

HousingAllegheny County, PA · County

Allegheny County Veterans Services takes applications for Pennsylvania's full real estate tax exemption, on which the State Veterans' Commission decides need. Its page and checklist ask for a 100% permanent and total letter, which leaves out three routes the statute opens: individual unemployability, and blindness, paraplegia or the loss of two limbs at any rating.

100% permanent, on one path. One path is a VA rating of 100% made permanent. The rating filter does not hide this entry, because the statute also opens on blindness, paraplegia or the loss of two limbs at any rating.
