Choose a level. County is what this county sets or runs itself. State is what Kentucky provides everywhere, including here. Federal is always last.

Show FiltersHide Filters

A filter hides a benefit only when that benefit has a rating gate and the rating you set misses it. A benefit with no rating gate stays on the list. No disability needed keeps only the benefits a living veteran can use without any service-connected disability rating: one that needs a rating or a disability, or may, stays off, and so does one only a surviving spouse or other family member can use. Who it is for means who can receive the benefit in their own right; a survivor is the family of a veteran or service member who died, and a child of one is listed under both. This is not an eligibility decision.

Hardin County PVA: Homestead and Disability Exemption

HousingHardin County, KY · County

The Hardin County PVA takes the homestead and disability exemption on the Department of Revenue's 62A350 application, sworn and filed with the PVA by December 31 of the year sought, with verification documents by December 31 in the first year of eligibility; the disability route needs total disability under a government programme, and the veteran amount is the Section 170 maximum.

100% disabled under a government programme. The disability route needs a person "classified as totally disabled under a program authorized or administered by an agency of the United States government or by any retirement system", which a 100% VA rating satisfies.

Hardin County Veterans Treatment Court

MiscellaneousHardin County, KY · County

Kentucky's Department of Specialty Courts operates a Veterans Treatment Court in Hardin County, one of its seven programme counties, taking referrals from judges, prosecutors, defenders, probation and pretrial officers, Veterans Justice Outreach coordinators or the team itself, regardless of county of residence.

Justice-involved veteran. The court is for a veteran with an open criminal case who volunteers and is accepted. A disability rating is not the test.

Free help with a VA claim

A county veterans service officer, a town veterans’ agent or a state service office helps you file VA claims for free, most of them through staff VA has accredited. VA does not let anyone charge you for help filing an initial claim.

VetTOC has not written a veterans service office for Hardin County yet.
