Choose a level. County is what this county sets or runs itself. State is what Georgia provides everywhere, including here. Federal is always last.

Show FiltersHide Filters

A filter hides a benefit only when that benefit has a rating gate and the rating you set misses it. A benefit with no rating gate stays on the list. No disability needed keeps only the benefits a living veteran can use without any service-connected disability rating: one that needs a rating or a disability, or may, stays off, and so does one only a surviving spouse or other family member can use. Who it is for means who can receive the benefit in their own right; a survivor is the family of a veteran or service member who died, and a child of one is listed under both. This is not an eligibility decision.

Dublin Judicial Circuit Veterans’ Court (District Attorney Harold McLendon): the circuit’s named accountability court

MiscellaneousLaurens County, GA · County

The Dublin Judicial Circuit's District Attorney - Harold McLendon, whose office serves the circuit's Johnson, Laurens, Treutlen and Twiggs counties from Dublin - lists a Veterans' Court among the circuit's accountability courts on the DA's own site: "he will dedicate resources to the pursuit of alternative resolutions through active engagement of the Accountability Courts (Drug Court, Mental Health Court, and Veterans' Court) and operation of the DA's Office P.I.E.R.S. Program, a pretrial diversion option for qualified offenders"; the Council of Accountability Court Judges' directory certifies the Dublin Circuit Drug Court (Judge William Taylor III, coordinator Mark Bowers, begun July 2022) and the Dublin Circuit Mental Health Court (begun January 2016) and lists no veterans treatment court for the circuit, so the Veterans' Court is the DA's named programme and not a certified docket.

Justice-involved veteran. The circuit’s Veterans’ Court takes veterans charged with an offense through the DA’s office; a disability rating is not the test. The docket is not CACJ-certified.

Laurens County Board of Commissioners: the 2025-2026 window with no veteran item

MiscellaneousLaurens County, GA · County

The Laurens County Board of Commissioners - Brenda Chain (District 1), Trae Kemp (District 2), Gerad Mathis (District 3), Jimmy Rogers (District 4) and Kevin Tanner (District 5), meeting on the first Tuesday of each month at 5:30 p.m. and the third Tuesday at 12:00 p.m., with the Commissioners' Office at 117 East Jackson Street, Dublin (contact Jenna Meyers, 478-272-4755, weekdays 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.) - published 79 agenda and minutes PDFs for 2025 and 2026 on its Agenda Center; every one was downloaded and read on 2026-11-03 and the word veteran does not appear in any of them, so the board's record is the absence itself and no board entry was written.

No eligibility - a board record. The record documents the board’s 2025-2026 window and its absence of veteran items; it grants no individual entitlement.

Laurens County Clerk of Superior Court (Tanya Rogers): the Military Discharge Information page

MiscellaneousLaurens County, GA · County

The Laurens County Clerk of Superior Court - Tanya Rogers, clerk since January 1, 2025, 101 N Jefferson Street, Dublin, GA 31040 (P.O. Box 2028 CSS, Dublin, GA 31040; 478-272-3210, weekdays 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.) - provides "veterans with the recordation and permanent preservation of military discharge records" per the clerk's own Military Discharge Information page, which names the DD-214 copies and National Archives Form 13038, states "There is no filing fee for this service, nor is there a fee for obtaining copies, certified or otherwise", and offers an Affidavit to View or Copy Military Discharge Records.

Any veteran with a discharge. The recording and the copies are free per the clerk’s own page; the record’s confidentiality follows O.C.G.A. 15-6-72. No rating is needed.

Laurens County Tax Commissioner (Darla Williams Brown): the homestead route at 121 East Jackson Street

MiscellaneousLaurens County, GA · County

The Laurens County Tax Commissioner - Darla Williams Brown, Main Office 121 E Jackson Street, Suite B, Dublin, GA 31021 (P.O. Box 2099, Dublin, GA 31040; 478-272-6994, fax 478-277-2916, weekdays 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., tax.laurenscountygapay.com) - processes the homestead exemption applications, the disabled-veteran exemptions included, before the April 1 deadline; the office's own site publishes no exemption text, so the O.C.G.A. 48-5-48 and 48-5-52.1 amounts ride on the State entries.

Qualifying disabled veteran or surviving spouse who owns and occupies the home. The exemption follows O.C.G.A. 48-5-48 and 48-5-52.1; the county offices take the application and post no amounts of their own. The rating filter never hides this entry.
