Show FiltersHide Filters

A filter hides a benefit only when that benefit has a rating gate and the rating you set misses it. A benefit with no rating gate stays on the list. No disability needed keeps only the benefits a living veteran can use without any service-connected disability rating: one that needs a rating or a disability, or may, stays off, and so does one only a surviving spouse or other family member can use. Who it is for means who can receive the benefit in their own right; a survivor is the family of a veteran or service member who died, and a child of one is listed under both. This is not an eligibility decision.

Habersham County Tax Assessors: the Veteran Exemptions table at the current $121,812, across every levy

MiscellaneousHabersham County, GA · County

The Habersham County Tax Assessors publish a Veteran Exemptions page on the county's own site - a table of exemption codes and amounts by levy, county M&O, hospital bond, school M&O, emergency medical services and state: S5, "100% Disabled Veteran; Un-remarried Surviving Spouse of Disabled Veteran", $121,812 on every levy; SD, the age-65 disabled-veteran exemption, $121,812 with the state column "100% on home & up to 10 contiguous acres of land AND $121,812 on balance of value"; SS, the unremarried surviving spouse of a US service member killed in action, $121,812; SE, the age-65 surviving-spouse exemption with the same 100-percent-plus-balance state rule - applications filed with the Tax Assessor's Office by April 1.

100% disabled veteran per the S5 and SD rows. One path to the county’s $121,812 exemption is a 100% rating; the age-65 SD row adds the state’s 100-percent home-and-ten-acres rule. Statutory awards for loss of limbs or sight are other paths the filter does not test.
