Choose a level. County is what this county sets or runs itself. State is what Arizona provides everywhere, including here. Federal is always last.

Show FiltersHide Filters

A filter hides a benefit only when that benefit has a rating gate and the rating you set misses it. A benefit with no rating gate stays on the list. No disability needed keeps only the benefits a living veteran can use without any service-connected disability rating: one that needs a rating or a disability, or may, stays off, and so does one only a surviving spouse or other family member can use. Who it is for means who can receive the benefit in their own right; a survivor is the family of a veteran or service member who died, and a child of one is listed under both. This is not an eligibility decision.

Navajo County Assessor: Disabled Veteran Property Tax Exemption

HousingNavajo County, AZ · County

The Navajo County Assessor takes the State's disabled veteran exemption on an affidavit signed in front of its staff by February 28, with a VA letter of the rating, a doctor's Certification of Disability, the 2025 Arizona return and the car registrations; for 2026 it applies the $39,865 income limit ($47,826 with a child at home) and a $36,454 assessed value cap. Late signers need a Board waiver.

Full at a 100% service-connected rating; scaled below it. A 100% service-connected rating fully exempts the primary residence for 2026. A lower service-connected rating, or a nonservice-connected rating, gets $4,873 of assessed value times the rating.

Navajo County Superior Court Veterans Court

MiscellaneousNavajo County, AZ · County

Navajo County's Specialty Courts include a Veterans Court: a voluntary programme for veterans charged with or convicted of a crime, run by a team of judge, prosecutor, defence attorney, probation officer and treatment provider, with incentives and sanctions. The County Attorney described it to the Board in October 2025 as a robust court that connects veterans to their earned benefits.

Veteran charged with or convicted of a crime. Voluntary; eligibility depends on the programme. No rating is needed.

Free help with a VA claim

A county veterans service officer, a town veterans’ agent or a state service office helps you file VA claims for free, most of them through staff VA has accredited. VA does not let anyone charge you for help filing an initial claim.

VetTOC has not written a veterans service office for Navajo County yet.
