Apache County

Street address

Start typing a street address. VetTOC reads only the county or town from it and opens its page.

Choose a level. County is what this county sets or runs itself. State is what Arizona provides everywhere, including here. Federal is always last.

A filter hides a benefit only when that benefit has a rating gate and the rating you set misses it. A benefit with no rating gate stays on the list. No disability needed keeps only the benefits a living veteran can use without any service-connected disability rating: one that needs a rating or a disability, or may, stays off, and so does one only a surviving spouse or other family member can use. Who it is for means who can receive the benefit in their own right; a survivor is the family of a veteran or service member who died, and a child of one is listed under both. This is not an eligibility decision.

Apache County Assessor: the Disabled Veteran Property Tax Exemption

HousingApache County, AZ · County

The Apache County Assessor (Rodger Dahozy, 75 W. Cleveland Street, St. Johns, 928-337-7624) takes the disabled veteran property tax exemption on the Arizona Department of Revenue's route: its own Personal Exemption flyer sets the application period (January 1 to March 1, 2026), the Department's 2026 limits (assessed value $36,454; income $39,865 with no children and $47,826 with), and the veteran's own reading - a VA Disability Letter stating the Overall Combined Service Rating, with the exemption percentage equal to the percentage of disability.

Service-connected disability rating. The exemption follows the VA disability letter: the whole dwelling and up to three acres at 100 percent, proportionate below. The filter reads the combined rating.

Apache County Board of Supervisors: Veterans in the Board Record

MiscellaneousApache County, AZ · County

The Apache County Board of Supervisors' year carried no veteran benefit: the window's veteran items are the November 4, 2025 call to the public, where the Houck Veteran's Organization asked the Board for help with the Houck cemetery's parking lot, handicap ramp and outdoor bathroom facilities, and the March 3, 2026 presentation of chapters' resolutions opposing a liquor license, by the Fort Defiance and Houck veterans' organizations.

No eligibility - a record note. The items above are requests and presentations; no application route attaches. The rating filter never hides this entry.

Apache County Recorder: the Free Military DD-214 Recording

MiscellaneousApache County, AZ · County

The Apache County Recorder (Larry Noble, (928) 337-7515) records a military DD-214 for nothing - the Recorder's own page lists the $30.00 recording fee and then the exception: 'Military DD214 Papers (Free)'; the office keeps 6:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. hours, Monday to Thursday.

Any veteran with a discharge. Recording a DD-214 is free and no rating is needed. The rating filter never hides this entry.

Free help with a VA claim

A county veterans service officer, a town veterans’ agent or a state service office helps you file VA claims for free, most of them through staff VA has accredited. VA does not let anyone charge you for help filing an initial claim.

VetTOC has not written a veterans service office for Apache County yet.
