Start typing a street address. VetTOC reads only the county or town from it and opens its page.

Choose a level. County is what this county sets or runs itself. State is what Ohio provides everywhere, including here. Federal is always last.

A filter hides a benefit only when that benefit has a rating gate and the rating you set misses it. A benefit with no rating gate stays on the list. No disability needed keeps only the benefits a living veteran can use without any service-connected disability rating: one that needs a rating or a disability, or may, stays off, and so does one only a surviving spouse or other family member can use. Who it is for means who can receive the benefit in their own right; a survivor is the family of a veteran or service member who died, and a child of one is listed under both. This is not an eligibility decision.

Ashland County Board of Commissioners: the Veterans Dog Donations Project Fund and the Veterans Year

MiscellaneousAshland County, OH · County

The Ashland County Board of Commissioners (Michael Welch president, Denny Bittle vice president, James justice commissioner; 9:00 a.m. each Thursday and the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays, second floor of the County Office Building, clerk Nikki Hiller) carried the window's veteran items: the August 20, 2026 agenda's transfer of $700.00 from the Dog Shelter to Fund #105, the Veterans Dog Donations Project Fund, "for current training expenses", the routine warrant certifications paying "for ... veterans" among the funds (January 8, 2026 and through the year), and the holiday schedule's Veterans' Day row; the Supreme Court of Ohio's live list gives the county no specialized docket.

No eligibility - a board record. The record documents the commissioners’ fund transfer and the veterans-day calendar; it grants no individual entitlement.

    Ohio County Veterans Service Commissions

Every Ohio county must have a veterans service commission, funded by a county levy of up to half a mill, that gives temporary financial help to a veteran discharged under honorable conditions, a service member or their family after three months in the county, files VA claims free, arranges rides to VA medical centers and buries an indigent veteran.
