Choose a level. County is what this county sets or runs itself. State is what North Carolina provides everywhere, including here. Federal is always last.

Show FiltersHide Filters

A filter hides a benefit only when that benefit has a rating gate and the rating you set misses it. A benefit with no rating gate stays on the list. No disability needed keeps only the benefits a living veteran can use without any service-connected disability rating: one that needs a rating or a disability, or may, stays off, and so does one only a surviving spouse or other family member can use. Who it is for means who can receive the benefit in their own right; a survivor is the family of a veteran or service member who died, and a child of one is listed under both. This is not an eligibility decision.

Nash County Register of Deeds: Military Discharges

MiscellaneousNash County, NC · County

Nash County's Register of Deeds keeps recorded military discharges as public records with restricted access: only the veteran, an agent the veteran or widow authorises in writing, a court, the executor, and certain veterans' agencies and the State Archives may record or get one, in person, not by mail or phone.

Any veteran. Free; no rating is needed. The rating filter never hides this entry.

Nash County Tax Department: Disabled Veteran Exclusion

HousingNash County, NC · County

Nash County's Tax Department takes applications for the State's disabled veteran exclusion, the first $45,000 of a permanent residence's assessed value for an honourably discharged veteran with a total and permanent service-connected disability or adapted housing benefits, or the unmarried surviving spouse, with no age or income limit and no yearly reapplication; 120 W. Washington Street, Suite 2058, Nashville, 252-459-1222, by June 1.

Permanent and total service-connected disability. The rating path is a total and permanent service-connected disability. A section 2101 adapted housing grant qualifies instead; the filter cannot test that.
