Show FiltersHide Filters

A filter hides a benefit only when that benefit has a rating gate and the rating you set misses it. A benefit with no rating gate stays on the list. No disability needed keeps only the benefits a living veteran can use without any service-connected disability rating: one that needs a rating or a disability, or may, stays off, and so does one only a surviving spouse or other family member can use. Who it is for means who can receive the benefit in their own right; a survivor is the family of a veteran or service member who died, and a child of one is listed under both. This is not an eligibility decision.

MiscellaneousDecatur County, GA · County

The Decatur County Clerk of Superior Court - Cecilia Willis, P.O. Box 336, Bainbridge, GA 39818 (229-248-3025) - keeps the county's own Military Discharge Records page on the clerk's site, decaturclerk.com: "We will gladly record your DD214 and/or Discharge Papers at no charge to you. Veterans will always be provided certified copies at no expense and, if necessary, the same service will be afforded to their next of kin"; the page lists the eligible records, reprints the O.C.G.A. 15-6-72 fifty-year closure and its authorized-viewer list, and cites 15-6-78(a) for the free recording.
