The Oldham County PVA, 110 W. Jefferson Street, La Grange (502-222-9320), takes the homestead exemption for an owner who is 100% totally disabled under an authorized programme, the VA included, owning and living in the home on January 1; bring a current benefits verification letter, and expect to prove the disability again every year.
Classified totally disabled by a federal programme, including the VA. The applicant must be classified totally disabled for the whole year and receive disability payments under that classification. A VA total rating or individual unemployability counts; a partial rating does not.
Against County taxes, Onondaga grants the alternative veterans exemption at $36,000, $24,000 and $120,000, a Cold War exemption of 15% up to $36,000 plus up to $120,000 for a rating with no ten-year limit, and the exemption to Gold Star parents. It has not adopted the new full exemption for permanently and totally disabled veterans.
A rating adds an exemption equal to half its percentage. No rating is needed for the wartime, combat or Cold War parts. A service-connected rating adds assessed value times half the rating, up to $120,000 for County taxes.
How Onslow County runs the State's $45,000 disabled veteran homestead exclusion: an NCDVA-9 certified by the county veterans office, then form AV-9 to the Tax Office by June 1. The tax page asks for an "honorably discharged" veteran, and the veterans office page describes only a permanent and total rating or a surviving spouse on Dependency and Indemnity Compensation.
Permanent and total service-connected disability. The rating path is VA's certification of a permanent and total service-connected disability, as of January 1. A section 2101 adapted housing grant qualifies instead, and an unremarried surviving spouse qualifies on any of the veteran's routes or a service-connected death; the rating filter cannot test those.
Fort Bend County Social Services helps veterans, serving members, spouses and dependents living in the county with utility bills, rent or mortgage payments and petrol, funded with a Texas Veterans Commission grant. Book an appointment with Social Services.
Fort Bend County veterans, service members and families. A service member, veteran, spouse or dependent living in Fort Bend County with a need the programme covers. No rating or discharge test is stated.
The Orange County Assessor's page gives the disabled veterans' exemption as $100,000 and $150,000 "adjusted annually" without the current figures ($180,671 and $271,009 for 2026), describes the rating test only as "100% disabled" with no mention of unemployability, and says nothing of the larger exemption Senate Bill 296 gives from the 2027 lien date.
100% or compensated at 100% for unemployability. The State exemption needs a 100% rating, permanent or not, compensation at 100% for unemployability, blindness in both eyes, or loss of the use of two or more limbs.
Orange County’s Commissioner of the Revenue takes the statewide home exemption for a veteran rated 100% permanent and total, but asks each applicant for two photo IDs, a Social Security card, and a Virginia license or voter card, and its form borrows a housing-loan definition of “principal residence”.
100% permanent and total. Orange County applies the statewide exemption to the house and up to one acre. It does not add an income test. One path is a VA rating of 100% that is service-connected, permanent, and total.
How the Orange County Property Appraiser describes Florida's veteran exemptions, and where it is narrower than the statutes: it offers the $5,000 exemption only to a veteran "not totally and permanently disabled", adds a Florida-residence-at-death test for a surviving spouse, wants the VA letter to say "combat related" in those words, and sends a deployment application pre-filled for tax year 2013.
10% for the $5,000 exemption; permanent and total for the full one. The $5,000 exemption starts at 10%, total and permanent included under the statute. The full homestead exemption needs total and permanent disability. The combat discount needs age 65, an honorable discharge and a permanent rating with a combat-related part.
Orange County relieves 10% to 90% of real estate tax for a permanently and totally disabled owner with household income up to $50,000 and net worth up to $150,000. The code accepts a VA certification of disability; the county’s page lists only doctors and Social Security.
Permanent and total disability. The owner is permanently and totally disabled and unable to work, or 65. VA, Social Security, the Railroad Retirement Board, or two doctors can certify it. A VA rating alone is not the test.
Orange County's Tax Office takes the State's disabled veteran exclusion - the first $45,000 of the appraised value of the home, no income limit - on the county application with the NCDVA-9 certification signed by VA, by June 1; the Board of Commissioners approves late applications for good cause, and its tables show the exclusion taking $306.23 off a 2026 county tax bill.
Service-connected, permanent and total disability. The NCDVA-9 certification of a total and permanent service-connected disability (or of the specially adapted housing route the State entry describes); no income or age test applies.
Against County taxes, Orange grants the alternative veterans exemption at $75,000, $50,000 and $250,000 since Local Law 8 of 2025, and a permanent Cold War exemption of 15% up to $12,000 plus up to $40,000 for a rating. No adoption of the full exemption for permanently and totally disabled veterans was found.
A rating adds an exemption equal to half its percentage. No rating is needed for the wartime or combat parts. A service-connected rating adds assessed value times half the rating, up to $250,000 under the alternative exemption and $40,000 under the Cold War exemption, for County taxes.
Orange’s assessor page prints a $20,000 local additional veterans exemption under a 2004 ordinance amended February 13, 2019, a $20,000 surviving-spouse additional, and the 12-81kk dwelling option the selectmen adopted November 9, 2023.
Wartime service or a VA rating, set by state law. The exemptions rest on C.G.S. 12-81(19) to (26): 90 days of wartime service with a qualifying discharge filed with the town clerk, or a VA disability rating. Amounts above the base turn on rating and income. The rating filter does not hide this entry.
Orange’s own FY2026 Property Tax Exemption Qualifications sheet prints the statutes line by line - $400 under clause 22 to $1,500 under 22C and $1,000 under 22E, full under 22D - so this entry gives the statute’s; its site has no veterans’ services page, and the EOVS directory’s row serves it from the Athol office, Lisa O’Sullivan the officer.
A VA rating, a decoration, or a surviving relative. Clause 22 reaches a veteran rated 10 percent or more, a Purple Heart recipient, a Gold Star parent and the spouse or unmarried surviving spouse; 22A to 22E turn on named losses, decorations, a 100 percent rating or specially adapted housing. The rating filter does not hide this entry, because several routes need no rating.
The Orangeburg County Auditor, Audrey Asbury, 1437 Amelia Street (803-533-6200), takes the State's $50,000 homestead exemption for a resident 65 or older, legally blind or classified totally and permanently disabled, and posts the Department of Revenue's PT-401-I (rev. 7/1/22), the application for the full home exemption of a 100% permanently and totally disabled veteran, which the county veterans affairs officer certifies.
Age 65, legally blind, or classified totally and permanently disabled. The homestead exemption needs no VA rating; the disabled veteran exemption on PT-401-I needs a permanent and total service-connected disability, which the State entry describes.
Exempts $27,092 or $32,512 of homestead assessed value for the 2026-27 tax year at a 40% disability, indexed up 3% annually. A claim filed within six months of a new VA rating can reach back three prior tax years.
Certified disabilities of 40% or more. Both amounts require certification at 40 percent or more. The higher amount requires that the disabilities be service-connected; the lower amount does not, and also allows an annual physician certification subject to an income test.
A state-run mortgage, not the federal VA guaranty. Oregon is one of only three states that lends to veterans directly, up to four loans in a lifetime, and the property has to be in Oregon but the borrower does not have to live there yet.
The ORS 408.225 service test. Eligibility is Oregon’s statutory veteran definition, not a rating. Oregon's statutory definition asks for a discharge under honorable conditions plus one of: more than 90 consecutive days beginning on or before January 31, 1955; more than 178 consecutive days beginning after January 31, 1955; 178 days or less with a discharge caused by a service-connected disability; 178 days or less plus a VA disability rating; at least one day in a combat zone; a combat, campaign, or expeditionary ribbon or medal; or receipt of a nonservice-connected VA pension. No rating percentage is required, so the rating filter never hides this benefit.
The Orleans Parish Assessor administers the State’s veteran exemption tiers, but its own site answers 403 to every automated fetch, so no parish application text could be read.
50-69%, 70-99% and 100% tiers. The parish administers the State tiers: $2,500 of additional assessed value at 50-69%, $4,500 at 70-99%, and the remaining value at 100% or total unemployability. Proof is the current LDVA Form A25.
The Osceola County Property Appraiser (Katrina Scarborough) lists the $5,000 veteran disability exemption from a VA letter, the combat-wounded age-65 discount equal to the combat-related percentage, and the deployed military DR-501M; its page put the 2026 income limit for the total and permanent exemption at $37,712 and filing at March 1 on DR-501T.
10% for the $5,000 exemption; combat-related percentage for the discount. The $5,000 exemption starts at a 10% service-connected rating. The combat-wounded discount equals the percentage of the disability that is combat-related.
The Otero County Assessor applies the State's veteran and disabled veteran exemptions on the Department of Veterans' Services certificate; its filing deadline for 2026 exemptions, disabled veterans included, was Friday, May 1, 2026. Its calendar still quotes the old $4,000 exemption figure.
Disabled veteran exemption, in proportion to the rating. From tax year 2026 the share of the home's taxable value exempt equals the service-connected rating, on the Department of Veterans' Services certificate.
The Otter Tail County Assessor, Heather Jacobson, takes the State's homestead market value exclusion applications for veterans with a service-connected disability and for surviving spouses: the county's property tax forms page posts the Disabled Veterans Application (CR-HEV) and the surviving spouse form (CR-HESS); 505 West Fir Avenue, Fergus Falls, 218-998-8010.
70% or more service-connected. $150,000 at 70% or more; $300,000 at total and permanent (the State entries). The county takes the application.
Ouachita County's tax collector, the Sheriff ex officio with chief deputy collector Adam LaDuke, 145 Jefferson St. SW, Camden (870-837-2260), takes the State's disabled veteran exemption; the page says nothing about it, the office moves to a combined Treasurer/Collector on the November 2026 ballot, and since Act 876 of 2025 the VA letter is a one-time filing.
100% permanent and total, special monthly compensation, or qualifying survivor. The county collector administers the State exemption under Ark. Code Ann. Section 26-3-306. The disability test is the State test, not a county one.
The Ouachita Parish Assessor publishes a veteran brochure with the exact tiers - $25,000 additional at 50-69%, $45,000 at 70-99%, full exemption at 100% or unemployability - and a veterans freeze at 50% or more with adjusted gross income of $100,000, CPI-indexed from 2026.
50-69%, 70-99% and 100% tiers. 50-69%: $25,000 additional above the $75,000 homestead. 70-99%: $45,000 additional. 100% or unemployability: fully exempt from ad valorem taxes. Proof is the current LDVA certification form.
Oxford’s assessor posts the active duty motor vehicle exemption and the 100 percent permanently and totally disabled veterans’ application; the survey recorded the veterans’ primary residence option.
Oxford’s Tax Relief Options page lists the veterans’ clauses without an amount, so this entry gives the statute’s.
Page County’s Commissioner of the Revenue takes the statewide home exemption, granted once and renewed only if the veteran moves, at a 2026 real estate rate of $0.52 - cut from $0.73 after the county-wide reassessment - with halves due June 5 and December 5.
100% permanent and total. Page applies the statewide exemption to the dwelling and up to one acre. It accepts a disability compensated at the 100% rate; the county forms do not mention it, and the Department of Veterans Services treats that rating as qualifying. One path is a VA rating of 100% that is service-connected, permanent, and total.
Page County exempts 100, 50 or 25 percent of the real estate tax of an owner 65 or totally disabled by bands of the Page County median household income, with net worth to $114,000, on an application filed January 1 through April 1.
Age 65 or totally disabled. The applicant is 65 or older, or totally disabled, on December 31 of the year preceding the taxable year. A VA rating alone is not the test.
How the Palm Beach County Property Appraiser describes Florida's veteran and military property tax relief. It reads the $5,000 exemption to reach a non-service-connected disability of 10% or more, but says every exemption needs a homestead and an honorable discharge, which neither the $5,000 nor the deployment exemption requires.
10% for the $5,000 exemption; permanent and total for the full one. The $5,000 exemption starts at 10%, service connected or, on the Appraiser's reading, not. The full homestead exemption needs total and permanent disability. The combat discount needs age 65 and a combat-related permanent rating; the deployment exemption needs no rating.
Palmer’s assessors post no exemption amounts, so this entry gives the statute’s: $400 for a veteran rated 10 percent or more, $750 to $1,500 under 22A to 22C, $1,000 for a 100 percent rating, and full exemption under 22D and 22F.
The Pasco County Property Appraiser's 2024 brochure describes Florida's veteran exemptions as the statutes do, including the combat discount at the whole permanent rating and combat medals as evidence. It cites the active-duty death exemption to section 196.081(6), the first responder subsection; the veteran's is 196.081(4).
10% for the $5,000 exemption; permanent and total for the full one. The $5,000 exemption starts at 10%. The full homestead exemption needs total and permanent disability. The combat discount needs age 65 and a permanent rating with a combat-related part.
The Pasquotank County Tax Administrator's office takes the State's property tax relief routes - the disabled veteran exclusion, the elderly or disabled exclusion with its $38,800 income limit, and the circuit breaker deferment - and asks applicants to contact the office for each programme's requirements.
Service-connected total as VA finds it. The disabled veteran exclusion needs the VA certification the State route asks for; the elderly or disabled route runs on age or total disability with the income test. The county takes the filing.
Paulding County's 2026 homestead listing gives a disabled veteran or unremarried surviving spouse $126,526 off most levies (S5), and local codes for older veterans: L12 at ages 65 to 67 and L13 at 68 and over, which carry school tax relief up to 100%. Apply through the Tax Assessor (770-443-7606, [email protected]).
100% service-connected. The county names veterans with a 100% service-connected disability; unemployability paid at the 100% rate also qualifies under section 48-5-48.
Pawtucket’s veterans’ property tax exemptions under R.I. Gen. Laws 44-3-4. Pawtucket publishes $17,870 of assessed value for its basic veterans’ exemption; the statutory figures and every amount here carry the day they were read.
Service and discharge set by state law. A veteran of a war, conflict or Cold War service period named in 44-3-4 or 44-3-4.2, honorably discharged, discharged under conditions other than dishonorable, or still serving honorably; or the unmarried widow or widower. No disability rating is needed for the basic exemption, so the rating filter never hides this entry.
The Payne County Assessor's office, 315 W 6th, Suite 102, Stillwater, takes the homestead and exemption filings; its site publishes the homestead form and the 905 storm shelter exemption but no veteran exemption text of its own, so the State's Form 998 route carries the 100% disabled veteran exemption.
100% schedular rating, permanent. One path is a 100% combined rating that VA has made permanent.
Peabody’s fiscal 2027 exemption criteria give the clause 22 exemption as between $400 and $800 depending on qualifications, and print its other personal exemptions each at the statute and twice it; a paraplegic veteran is fully exempt.
The Pearl River County Tax Assessor takes homestead exemption applications January 2 to April 1 at the Picayune or Poplarville office, and a "100% service-connected disabled American veteran" must bring the VA summary-of-benefits letter; the exemption amounts are the State's, under Mississippi Code 27-33-67 and 27-33-75.
Service-connected total as VA finds it. The county page asks the 100% service-connected disabled American veteran for the VA summary of benefits letter; the State entries set the exemption routes.
Pembroke’s fiscal 2027 exemption page prints $440 under clause 22, the statute raised a tenth, what clause 22J at 10 per cent would produce, and names no other veteran amounts.
Pender County's Tax Administration takes the disabled veteran's exclusion - the first $45,000 of the appraised value of the residence of a veteran with a 100 percent service-connected, permanent and total disability - on the NCDVA-9 form signed by a local or NC Veterans Affairs representative, with no age or income requirement, the veteran deeded owner and living in the home full-time as of January 1.
Permanent and total service-connected disability. The exclusion needs the NCDVA-9 certification the county page describes; no income or age test applies.
A total exemption from real estate tax on the dwelling a wartime veteran lives in, at 100% permanent, unemployability, blindness, paraplegia, or the loss of two or more limbs. It carries a financial need test, but a recent change took veterans benefits out of the income counted.
100% permanent service-connected disability. The exemption removes the real estate tax on the dwelling entirely, subject to the wartime service and financial need tests. One path is a VA rating of 100% that is permanent.
Pepperell’s Exemptions and Deferrals page prints no amounts, its veterans’ brochure and application being the state’s own, while its Veteran’s Services pages record that the town "has implemented 22I and 5C1/2" without printing what they produce, so this entry gives the statute’s and asks the assessors for the accepted amounts.
The Perry County Collector, in Perryville ((501) 889-5285), takes the State's disabled veteran exemption on the home and personal property; the county's page says nothing about it, and since Act 876 of 2025 the VA letter is a one-time filing.
100% permanent and total, special monthly compensation, or qualifying survivor. The county collector administers the State exemption under Ark. Code Ann. Section 26-3-306. The disability test is the State test, not a county one.
The Pershing County Assessor (Jennifer Hill, Assessor and Certified Appraiser) administers the State's exemptions from Lovelock; the office publishes no exemption text of its own, so the 2026-27 figures and the claim mechanics rest on the Nevada entries.
60% permanent for the disabled veteran exemption. The disabled veteran exemption starts at a permanent service-connected disability of 60%, counting separate ratings added together. The general veteran exemption needs qualifying service and no rating.
The State’s exemption of the first $150,000 of assessed value of a disabled veteran’s home, applied for once, by February 15 of the first year (the 2026 calendar set February 17), at the Finance Office, 12 South Nordic Drive. The applicant must be eligible for the Permanent Fund Dividend at the home and live in it at least 185 days a year, with absences for military service allowed.
50 percent or more service-connected. AS 29.45.030 requires a disability rated 50 percent or more and evidence of the rating.
A reserve or National Guard member called to active duty outside Pennsylvania gets a credit against the City's share of the real estate tax on the home they own and live in, for each day of that duty in the year before. Apply to the Department of Revenue by March 31.
Reserve or Guard member called to active duty outside Pennsylvania. The credit is for a serving reserve or National Guard member who owns and lives in the home. No rating is involved.
In Philadelphia the State's full real estate tax exemption goes through the Office of Veterans Affairs in City Hall. The office's FAQ still prints an $85,168 income figure, years out of date (it is $114,637 from 2025), and it, its checklist and the City's assessment page all describe the exemption as for a 100% disabled veteran, leaving out unemployability, blindness, paraplegia and the loss of two limbs.
100% permanent, on one path. One path is a VA rating of 100% made permanent. The rating filter does not hide this entry, because the statute also opens on blindness, paraplegia or the loss of two limbs at any rating.
The Phillips County Collector, Neal Byrd, at the courthouse, 620 Cherry Street, Suite 102, Helena (870-338-5580), takes the State's disabled veteran exemption on the home and personal property; the county posts nothing about it, and since Act 876 of 2025 the VA letter is a one-time filing.
100% permanent and total, special monthly compensation, or qualifying survivor. The county collector administers the State exemption under Ark. Code Ann. Section 26-3-306. The disability test is the State test, not a county one.
The Pickaway County Auditor (Brad Washburn, 110 Island Road, Suite F, Circleville) takes the homestead exemption applications: totally disabled veterans with a 100% service-connected rating (or TDIU) file the DTE 105I for the increased credit, disabled applicants the DTE 105E certificate with the DTE 105A; the Auditor’s own site is Cloudflare-blocked and its Homestead forms page rests on the Internet Archive’s capture.
100% service-connected or TDIU as VA finds it. The increased credit needs the DTE 105I and the VA’s 100% or TDIU finding; the standard homestead runs on age or total disability with the income test. The county takes the filing.
The Pierce County Assessor-Treasurer's exemption page never mentions the disabled veteran route of RCW 84.36.381, sets the age test a year earlier than the statute, and prints exemption tiers ($50,000 or 35% up to $70,000; $60,000 or 60%) smaller than the statute's current $70,000 or 45% up to $200,000 and $80,000 or 80%.
40% service-connected, from taxes collected in 2027. RCW 84.36.381: a combined evaluation of 40% or more (80% for 2026 collections), or a total disability rating at any percentage; or age 61; plus the income test.
Pike County's tax collector, Sheriff Travis Hill ex officio, in Murfreesboro ((870) 285-3121), takes the State's disabled veteran exemption on the home and personal property; the county's site says nothing about it, and since Act 876 of 2025 the VA letter is a one-time filing.
100% permanent and total, special monthly compensation, or qualifying survivor. The county collector administers the State exemption under Ark. Code Ann. Section 26-3-306. The disability test is the State test, not a county one.
Pike County grants the State's real estate tax exemption through its Veterans Affairs Office in conjunction with the Tax Assessment Office, and by Resolutions 23-12, 23-13, 23-14 and 23-29 extends it to non-wartime service members, to surviving spouses of service members killed in action or in the line of duty, and to surviving spouses of veterans of any era who died of their service-connected disabilities; VA disability compensation is not counted as income for the financial test.
100% permanent on the State path; the county widens who qualifies. The State programme opens on a 100% permanent service-connected rating with wartime service and financial need (51 Pa.C.S. 8902 also opens on blindness, paraplegia or the loss of two limbs at any rating). Pike County extends it to non-wartime service members, to spouses of those killed in action or in the line of duty, and to spouses of veterans of any era who died of their service-connected disabilities.
