Pershing County Assessor: Veterans' and Disabled Veterans' Exemptions

The Pershing County Assessor (Jennifer Hill, Assessor and Certified Appraiser) administers the State's exemptions from Lovelock; the office publishes no exemption text of its own, so the 2026-27 figures and the claim mechanics rest on the Nevada entries.

Also called: property tax, assessor, NRS 361.090, NRS 361.091, Lovelock, Jennifer Hill, Certified Appraiser, surviving spouse, declaration.

For: Veteran or service member, survivor.

Where it applies

Written for the jurisdictions listed here.

The exemptions are the State's, under NRS 361.090 for a veteran who served in a listed period or campaign and NRS 361.091 for a permanent service-connected disability of 60% or more; the Nevada entries explain them, including the rule that separate ratings are added together. The Pershing County Assessor administers them under Assessor Jennifer Hill, "Assessor and Certified Appraiser", whose office "strives to ensure that all Pershing County Taxpayers receive an assessment of their property that is equitable", per NRS and the Nevada Tax Commission's rules. The office's pages offer property-records tools - Property Taxes Explained, Property Records, Plat Maps, the Declaration Filing Procedure, the GIS land-records map and FAQs - and publish no veteran-exemption text and no amounts, so the 2026-27 figures ($3,640 of assessed value for a veteran; $18,200, $27,300 or $36,400 at 60%, 80% or 100%) rest on the Nevada entries. A veteran claiming brings the DD-214 or certificate of satisfactory service and the VA percentage documentation to the office; the June 15 real-property deadline the State entries carry is the operative one.
