Show FiltersHide Filters

A filter hides a benefit only when that benefit has a rating gate and the rating you set misses it. A benefit with no rating gate stays on the list. No disability needed keeps only the benefits a living veteran can use without any service-connected disability rating: one that needs a rating or a disability, or may, stays off, and so does one only a surviving spouse or other family member can use. Who it is for means who can receive the benefit in their own right; a survivor is the family of a veteran or service member who died, and a child of one is listed under both. This is not an eligibility decision.

Pima County Assessor: Disabled Veteran Exemption

HousingPima County, AZ · County

The Pima County Assessor administers ARS 42-11111 and tells veterans that House Bill 4168 applies from tax year 2027, and that anyone turned down for 2026 on income will be reconsidered for 2027 without reapplying. Its late-filing waiver form denies any petition once taxes are due, where ARS 42-11153(B) only bars refunding taxes already due.

Any service-connected rating, scaled; full at 100%. ARS 42-11111 scales the exemption by the rating; see the Arizona entry for the 2026 and 2027 rules.

Pinal County Assessor: Disabled Veteran Property Tax Exemption

HousingPinal County, AZ · County

How the Pinal County Assessor runs the State exemption for 2026: a first claim in person between the first Monday in January and the end of February, with the 2025 Arizona return, under the $39,865 income limit. Its page applies the widows' and disabled persons' $36,454 assessed value cap to veterans, which the statute does not, and does not mention the full exemption at 100%.

Full at a 100% service-connected rating; scaled below it. A 100% service-connected rating fully exempts the primary residence. A lower service-connected rating, or a nonservice-connected rating, gets $4,873 of assessed value times the rating for 2026.

Pinellas County Property Appraiser: Veteran Exemptions and the Combat Discount

HousingPinellas County, FL · County

The Pinellas County Property Appraiser describes Florida's veteran exemptions as the statutes do, including the combat discount for partial or total permanent disability, and urges veterans to apply before VA's letter arrives. A county ordinance waives annual renewal of the combat discount; it cites the constitution's old subsection 6(g), now 6(e).

10% for the $5,000 exemption; permanent and total for the full one. The $5,000 exemption starts at 10%. The full homestead exemption needs total and permanent disability. The combat discount needs age 65, an honorable discharge and a permanent combat-related rating at any percentage.
