Newport’s veterans’ property tax exemptions under R.I. Gen. Laws 44-3-4, with the statutory figures for Newport and the day each was read. Confirm the current amount with the assessor.
Service and discharge set by state law. A veteran of a war, conflict or Cold War service period named in 44-3-4 or 44-3-4.2, honorably discharged, discharged under conditions other than dishonorable, or still serving honorably; or the unmarried widow or widower. No disability rating is needed for the basic exemption, so the rating filter never hides this entry.
The Newton County Collector, Nedra Daniels, at the courthouse, 100 E. Court Street, Jasper (870-446-2378), takes the State's disabled veteran exemption on the home and personal property; the county posts nothing about it, and since Act 876 of 2025 the VA letter is a one-time filing.
100% permanent and total, special monthly compensation, or qualifying survivor. The county collector administers the State exemption under Ark. Code Ann. Section 26-3-306. The disability test is the State test, not a county one.
Newton County's Tax Commissioner lists the State's disabled veteran homestead exemption at $126,526 off the 40% assessed value, for a veteran with a VA Summary of Benefits letter certifying a 100% total and permanent service-related disability, carrying to the unremarried surviving spouse or minor child; file by April 1 or within the 45-day appeal window, through the Tax Assessor (770-784-2030) or online.
100% service-connected. A disabled veteran as section 48-5-48 defines one: a 100% rating is one path; unemployability paid at the 100% rate and statutory awards are others the filter does not test.
Newton accepted section 5C½ at 100 percent from fiscal 2024, so a veteran’s clause 22 exemption is matched by an equal additional exemption: up to $800 under clause 22 and $2,000 under 22E, within the section’s limits.
A VA rating, a decoration, or a surviving relative. Clause 22 reaches a veteran rated 10 percent or more, a Purple Heart recipient, a Gold Star parent and the spouse or unmarried surviving spouse; 22A to 22E turn on named losses, decorations, a 100 percent rating or specially adapted housing. The rating filter does not hide this entry, because several routes need no rating.
Newtown’s Local Option Veteran’s Program form shows a $10,000 exemption granted under the town’s local option, which OLR’s 2023 survey recorded as an exemption of 10 percent of property value for income up to $56,400 married or $48,100 single. Its assessor page prints no veteran amounts.
Wartime service or a VA rating, set by state law. The exemptions rest on C.G.S. 12-81(19) to (26): 90 days of wartime service with a qualifying discharge filed with the town clerk, or a VA disability rating. Amounts above the base turn on rating and income. The rating filter does not hide this entry.
The Nez Perce County Assessor - Dan Anderson, Courthouse 1st Floor, 1230 Main Street, Lewiston (208-799-3010), Monday to Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. - takes the Property Tax Reduction (circuit breaker) applications, which cut taxes on the home and up to an acre by up to $1,500 for qualifying homeowners including a 'Veteran with at least 10% service connected disability, or receiving VA pension for a nonservice-connected disability'; the 100-percent disabled-veteran benefit of Idaho Code 63-705A is the State's (the Idaho entry).
10% for the circuit breaker; 100% for the veterans benefit. The circuit breaker counts a 10% rating or a VA pension, with an income limit; the veterans benefit needs a 100% service-connected rating (the statute also takes unemployability).
Against County taxes, Niagara grants the alternative veterans exemption at $30,000, $20,000 and $100,000 since Local Law 3 of 2024, with Gold Star parents eligible, and the Cold War exemption at 15% up to $15,000 plus up to $50,000 for a rating, with no ten-year limit. A local law opting into the full exemption for permanently and totally disabled veterans was introduced on September 22, 2026.
A rating adds an exemption equal to half its percentage. No rating is needed for the wartime or combat parts. A service-connected rating adds assessed value times half the rating, up to $100,000 under the alternative exemption and $50,000 under the Cold War exemption, for County taxes. The proposed full exemption needs a VA permanent and total finding.
Norfolk’s Department of Human Services applies the statewide exemption for a veteran rated 100% service-connected, permanent, and total. Its page and 2026 form still require a surviving spouse to stay in the same home.
100% permanent and total. Norfolk applies the statewide exemption to the principal residence. The city asks for the original VA letter showing a 100% service-connected, permanent, and total disability. It does not add an income test. One path is a VA rating of 100% that is service-connected, permanent, and total.
For fiscal 2027 Norfolk exempts the tax on up to $327,900 of assessed value for a totally and permanently disabled owner with income up to $28,611, and offers deferral, not exemption, up to $67,000 of income.
Total and permanent disability. The owner is totally and permanently disabled, or 65, and lives in the home. A VA rating alone is not the test.
Norfolk’s assessor page posts a state additional-veterans application and the town’s own Local Additional Veterans Exemption Application, and OLR’s survey recorded the local option at $20,000 with income limits $25,000 above the state’s.
North Adams’ assessors post the Department of Revenue’s guides and no amount, so this entry gives the statute’s: $400 for a veteran rated 10 percent or more, $750 to $1,500 under 22A to 22C, $1,000 for a 100 percent rating, and full exemption under 22D and 22F.
North Andover’s Abatement & Exemption Guide prints the statutes’ range for veterans, $400 to $1,000 to a full exemption, with no local option named.

Clause 22 reaches a veteran rated 10 percent or more, a Purple Heart recipient, a Gold Star parent and the spouse or unmarried surviving spouse; 22A to 22E turn on named losses, decorations, a 100 percent rating or specially adapted housing. The exemptions rest on C.G.S. 12-81(19) to (26): 90 days of wartime service with a qualifying discharge filed with the town clerk, or a VA disability rating. Amounts above the base turn on rating and income. The rating filter does not hide this entry.
North Brookfield’s assessors post the Commonwealth’s Form 96-4 and the Department of Revenue’s guide with no amount of the town’s own, so this entry gives the statute’s; its Veterans Services Office is the town’s own chapter 115 administrator, Holly Kularski the Veterans Agent, whose office hours are Tuesday evenings.

The first $45,000 of appraised value of the residence comes off the tax roll for a veteran certified permanent and total, or receiving a VA specially adapted housing grant. No income test, but it cannot be combined with any other property tax relief.
Permanent and total service-connected disability. The rating path is a VA certification of a service-connected disability that is permanent and total. A combined rating of 100 percent that is not certified permanent and total does not by itself satisfy the statute.
A credit on the first $9,000 of taxable valuation of the homestead, scaled to the disability percentage, from 50 percent up. Taxable valuation is 4.5 percent of market value, so $9,000 is about a $200,000 house.
A service-connected disability of 50 percent or greater. The schedular route is a service-connected disability rating of fifty percent or more. The credit is then the disability percentage applied to the first $9,000 of taxable valuation.
The first $120,000 of true and full value of the buildings is exempt for a paraplegic veteran or any veteran awarded VA specially adapted housing. No rating percentage, no income test, and it is worth far more than the disabled veterans credit.
Paraplegia, or a VA specially adapted housing award. The gate is being a paraplegic disabled veteran of the United States armed forces, or any veteran awarded specially adapted housing by VA. No combined rating percentage appears in the veteran limb of the subsection.

Applications go to the Assessing Division in Utqiagvik by January 15. A separate $20,000 owner-occupied exemption and a low-income tax relief grant can add to it.

Northborough’s own FY2027 chart prints $400 to $800 + COLA under clause 22 and $1,000 to $2,000 + COLA under 22E - the statutes doubled with the cost-of-living increase on top - and its 2025 Annual Town Report records town meeting’s acceptance of clause 22I, but no record of a doubling acceptance was found on the site whose HTML blocks, so this entry asks the assessors what the range’s upper figures rest on.
Norton’s fiscal 2027 sheet prints the statutes doubled: $800 under clause 22 and $2,000 for a 100 percent rating under 22E, and defers the other veterans’ clauses to the office, so this entry gives the statute’s full exemptions under 22D and 22F; the sheet adds a one-year home requirement of its own.
10% for the partial exemption; 100% or unemployable for the homestead. The partial exemption starts at 10%, and some routes need no percentage. The total homestead exemption needs 100% compensation with a 100% or unemployability rating. The surviving spouse exemptions need no rating.

Honorable or general discharge; Nueces County resident; income guidelines. A Nueces County veteran with an honorable or general discharge, or a dependent or unremarried surviving spouse, with an emergency need and within the income guidelines. No rating is needed.
The Nye County Assessor administers the State's veteran and disabled-veteran exemptions against real property, unsecured personal property or a vehicle registration, from offices in both Tonopah and Pahrump. The county publishes no amounts of its own, so the 2026-27 figures rest on the Nevada entries.
60% permanent for the disabled veteran exemption. The disabled veteran exemption starts at a permanent service-connected disability of 60%, counting separate ratings added together. The general veteran exemption needs qualifying service and no rating.
Oconee County's Auditor's Military Exemptions page routes the DOR's PT-401 exemption applications (a total property tax exemption for POWs, Medal of Honor recipients and veterans with a 100% total and permanent service-connected disability, on a home and five acres and up to two vehicles, carrying to a surviving spouse) to the Department of Revenue, and the county code extends tax filing and payment 180 days after service in a hazardous duty zone with penalties and interest waived (section 30-2).
Permanent and total service-connected disability. The full property exemption needs the VA or county service office certificate of 100% total and permanent disability on the DOR form; the hazardous-duty extension needs only active service in a qualifying zone.
Ogle County's Supervisor of Assessments (105 S 5th St, Oregon, 815-732-1150) takes the State's veteran homestead exemptions with its own table: the Disabled Veterans' Homestead Exemption of up to $70,000 of assessed value, IDVA-determined and reestablished annually, and the Disabled Veterans' Standard Homestead Exemption - $2,500 at a 30-49% service-connected disability, $5,000 at 50-69%, and a total exemption at 70% or more on USDVA certification, limited to homes with an EAV under $250,000.
30% or more service-connected for the standard exemption. 15-169: $2,500 of EAV at 30-49%, $5,000 at 50-69%, total exemption at 70% or more, on USDVA certification; the $70,000 housing exemption under 15-165 is IDVA-determined. Renewed annually.
A larger homestead credit, with no income test, for a veteran rated 100% service-connected or paid at 100% for individual unemployability. For 2026 real property the credit equals the tax on up to $59,400 of market value. It is not a full exemption of the bill.
100% service-connected. One path is a total disability rating of 100% for a service-connected disability or combination of service-connected disabilities. The enhanced credit has no income test. It equals the tax on a slice of market value, not the entire bill.
The Okaloosa County Property Appraiser's deployed servicemember packet carries the operations list as amended in 2026 and asks for its own memo for record, revised July 1, 2026, with the orders. It gives only the March 1 deadline and does not mention the one-time 2026 rules, including the refund for long deployments in 2023 to 2025. Its veteran exemption pages follow the statutes.
Homestead owner deployed on a designated operation, or a disabled veteran. The deployment exemption needs a homestead and a qualifying deployment. The veteran exemptions start at a 10% rating for the $5,000 exemption and need total and permanent disability for the full one.
Okeechobee County's Property Appraiser takes the $5,000 exemption for a veteran disabled 10% or more, the total exemption for a service-connected total and permanent disability, the deployed military exemption and the 65-plus combat discount in person by March 1 at 409 NW 2nd Avenue, Suite B (863-763-4422). Its page adds a five-year marriage test for surviving spouses that section 196.081 does not set, and cites the discount to the wrong section.
10% for the $5,000 exemption; total and permanent for the full exemption. The $5,000 exemption starts at a 10% service-connected disability. The full exemption needs a service-connected total and permanent disability. The 65-plus discount equals the combat-related percentage.
Okeechobee County's State Housing Initiatives Partnership plan for 2025-26 to 2027-28 serves applicants first qualified, first served, with priority for very low income, special needs and veterans (or a veteran's spouse) verified under Rule 55A-7.009; its strategies include purchase help up to $40,000, repairs up to $30,000 and eviction prevention up to $4,500. Applications were closed in October 2026.
Very low to moderate income; veterans get priority. Income-qualified households (very low, low or moderate income, by strategy); a veteran or a veteran's spouse verified under Rule 55A-7.009 is among the priority groups. No rating is needed.
The whole fair cash value of the home is exempt from property tax, and all household personal property too, for an honorably discharged Oklahoma resident whom VA certifies as 100 percent permanently disabled from service, and for the surviving spouse. The exemption moves with the veteran to a new home. There is no partial exemption below 100 percent.
Paid at the 100 percent rate on a schedular rating. Okla. Const. art. X, § 8E(A); OTC Form 998: "in receipt of compensation at the one-hundred-percent rate" for a disability that "shall be permanent".
The Oklahoma County Assessor takes the State's full homestead exemption for a 100 percent permanently disabled veteran on Form 998, with a VA letter, and Form 998-B after a move. Its page omits the matching household personal property exemption. It correctly says VA disability compensation is not income for the additional homestead exemption.
100% schedular rating, permanent. One path is a 100% combined rating that VA has made permanent.
VA disability compensation does not count as income for Oklahoma’s additional $1,000 homestead exemption (household income up to $30,000) or for the senior valuation freeze, so a veteran living on it can qualify for both. It does count for the separate circuit breaker and sales tax relief credits.
Household income up to $30,000, not counting VA disability compensation. 68 O.S. 2890(A) and (B). The senior freeze uses a HUD-based limit with the same income definition.
Up to $5,000, once, toward a specially adapted home for a veteran already approved for VA's Specially Adapted Housing grant, who lived in Oklahoma before entering service and lives here now. It depends on money being in the fund.
Approved for VA Specially Adapted Housing. 72 O.S. § 412(A)(1).
