The exemption is the State's (Section 170 of the Kentucky Constitution and KRS 132.810); the Kentucky entry explains it and gives the 2025-2026 amount of $49,100, which the Oldham page does not state. The applicant for this exemption must be the recorded owner of the property as of January 1st and must reside at the property listed on the application; only one exemption per residence is allowed. The applicant shall present appropriate documents from an authorized program, which confirms the 100% total disability classification of the applicant. All letters obtained from such program must have a current date." Documents. The page lists a TPQY or Benefits Verification Letter from Social Security, or a "Benefits Verification Letter from all other authorized programs", which for a veteran is the VA's letter. The PVA's FAQ adds that the proof must show "total disability and that payment have been issued throughout the entire year", typically "a Notice of Award or Summary of Benefits stating what type of Benefit (Disability) and Onset Date", and that "a taxpayer needs to provide proof of his or her disability status every year". The Kentucky entry notes that a totally disabled veteran is excused from reapplying every year; ask the office how it applies that. Where. Oldham County PVA, 110 W.
