Choose a level. County is what this county sets or runs itself. State is what Wisconsin provides everywhere, including here. Federal is always last.

Show FiltersHide Filters

A filter hides a benefit only when that benefit has a rating gate and the rating you set misses it. A benefit with no rating gate stays on the list. No disability needed keeps only the benefits a living veteran can use without any service-connected disability rating: one that needs a rating or a disability, or may, stays off, and so does one only a surviving spouse or other family member can use. Who it is for means who can receive the benefit in their own right; a survivor is the family of a veteran or service member who died, and a child of one is listed under both. This is not an eligibility decision.

Marinette County Board of Supervisors: the Veterans Year in the Agendas

MiscellaneousMarinette County, WI · County

The Marinette County Board of Supervisors' 2025-2026 record carries the Veteran's Service Commission appointment of veteran Kathleen Kuenzi (November 12, 2025 notice, December 16, 2025 motion carried), the $5,000 transfer into veterans relief operations applying the non-lapsing veterans emergency assistance fund (June 30, 2026), the civil-service rule that one commissioner be an honorably discharged veteran with veteran preference points, and the November 11 Veterans Day meeting recess.

No eligibility - a board record. The record documents the county’s veterans-services administration; it grants no individual entitlement.

Marinette County DAV Transportation: the van to the Iron Mountain VA

MiscellaneousMarinette County, WI · County

Marinette County's DAV Transportation page routes veterans to the Iron Mountain (Michigan) VA Medical Center by volunteer van - call the Transportation Hotline, 715-732-7567, ten to fourteen days ahead; rides currently run Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays only because of a volunteer-driver shortage, and veterans must be ambulatory.

Ambulatory veterans with scheduled VA appointments. The van serves veterans with scheduled Iron Mountain VAMC appointments; wheelchair and oxygen users cannot be transported. No rating is needed.

MiscellaneousMarinette County, WI · County

Marinette County's Veterans Service Office - Thomas F. Doyle, Veteran Service Officer, at the Marinette County Resource Center, 1925 Ella Court (715-732-7650) - files VA and WDVA claims under 45.80, advised by a Veteran's Service Commission appointed under 45.81, with the county's veterans emergency assistance fund balance applied to relief operations.

Any veteran or family member. The office assists Marinette County veterans and their families with VA and WDVA claims and county aid. No rating is required, so the rating filter never hides this benefit.

The Eighth Judicial District Veterans Treatment Court, serving Marinette and six other counties

MiscellaneousMarinette County, WI · County

Marinette County has no stand-alone veterans court; its veterans cases go to the Eighth Judicial District Veterans Treatment Court, a regional Wisconsin court whose team serves Brown, Door, Kewaunee, Marinette, Oconto, Outagamie and Waupaca counties, with referrals through Brown County Criminal Justice Services (Mark Vanden Hoogen, 920-391-4849).

Justice-involved veteran. The district court serves veterans with pending eligible cases who volunteer and are accepted; a disability rating is not the test.
