Show FiltersHide Filters

A filter hides a benefit only when that benefit has a rating gate and the rating you set misses it. A benefit with no rating gate stays on the list. No disability needed keeps only the benefits a living veteran can use without any service-connected disability rating: one that needs a rating or a disability, or may, stays off, and so does one only a surviving spouse or other family member can use. Who it is for means who can receive the benefit in their own right; a survivor is the family of a veteran or service member who died, and a child of one is listed under both. This is not an eligibility decision.

Fort Bend Central Appraisal District: Disabled Veteran Exemptions

HousingFort Bend County, TX · County

The Fort Bend Central Appraisal District states the 100% homestead exemption with unemployability, the five-year late window and the line-of-duty spouse exemption correctly, but gives a 100% veteran's surviving spouse the exemption only if the veteran qualified in the year of death, and its site has nothing on the 2025 presumptive-condition spouse exemption.

10% for the partial exemption; 100% or unemployable for the homestead. The partial exemption starts at 10%, and some routes need no percentage. The total homestead exemption needs 100% compensation with a 100% or unemployability rating. The surviving spouse exemptions need no rating.

The Fort Bend County Clerk records a DD-214 free, issues a free Thank A Veteran discount card, partly waives assumed name fees for veterans, and waives certain fees for a member deploying to a hostile fire zone. Veterans, and members deploying to a hostile fire zone. Any veteran with a DD-214 can record it and get the card; the fee waivers need a deployment to a hostile fire zone. No rating is needed.
