Show FiltersHide Filters

A filter hides a benefit only when that benefit has a rating gate and the rating you set misses it. A benefit with no rating gate stays on the list. No disability needed keeps only the benefits a living veteran can use without any service-connected disability rating: one that needs a rating or a disability, or may, stays off, and so does one only a surviving spouse or other family member can use. Who it is for means who can receive the benefit in their own right; a survivor is the family of a veteran or service member who died, and a child of one is listed under both. This is not an eligibility decision.

MiscellaneousSaunders County, NE · County

Saunders County’s Veterans Service Office at 426 N. Broadway in Wahoo, under Veterans Service Officer Bill Bonney, works up VA applications and VA medical centre eligibility, and is where the Treasurer sends veterans for the State’s new disabled veteran vehicle tax exemption - about 800 county veterans, the officer told the Board in January 2026.

Any Saunders County veteran or dependent. Claims help and the vehicle exemption paperwork need no particular rating here; the rating filter never hides this entry.

A county veterans service officer, a town veterans’ agent or a state service office helps you file VA claims for free, most of them through staff VA has accredited. VA does not let anyone charge you for help filing an initial claim.
