Show FiltersHide Filters

A filter hides a benefit only when that benefit has a rating gate and the rating you set misses it. A benefit with no rating gate stays on the list. No disability needed keeps only the benefits a living veteran can use without any service-connected disability rating: one that needs a rating or a disability, or may, stays off, and so does one only a surviving spouse or other family member can use. Who it is for means who can receive the benefit in their own right; a survivor is the family of a veteran or service member who died, and a child of one is listed under both. This is not an eligibility decision.

Davie County Board of Commissioners: the Veterans Computer Lab grant and the Operation Green Light illumination

MiscellaneousDavie County, NC · County

The Davie County Board of Commissioners (Benita Finney chair, M. Brent Shoaf and the board) carried the veterans year in the January 2026 Veterans Computer Lab opening at Veterans Services and the county's Operation Green Light for Veterans courthouse illumination around Veterans Day, with the November 11, 2026 office closure on the county calendar; the board's CivicClerk agenda and minutes were not machine-readable, and no benefit was adopted, narrowed or repealed.

No eligibility - a board record. The record documents the county’s veterans-services administration; it grants no individual entitlement.

MiscellaneousDavie County, NC · County

The Davie County Register of Deeds (Kelly C. Funderburk, 123 South Main Street, County Administration Building, Mocksville, 336-753-6080) records every veteran's DD-214 "free of charge" and issues the complimentary "Thank a Vet" photo ID badge - "granting them access to tons of discounts and 'freebies' all over Davie County" - against the office's own list of participating businesses.

Any veteran with a discharge. Recording a DD-214 is free and the Thank a Vet badge follows it; no rating is needed. The rating filter never hides this entry.

Davie County Tax Administration: the Disabled Veterans Exclusion, 45,000 dollars of value

HousingDavie County, NC · County

The Davie County Tax Administration's Tax Exemptions page carries the county's own disabled-veterans text - "Disabled Veterans Exclusion: Honorably Discharged Veterans and 100% disabled due to a service related injury. Value Reduction of $45,000" - beside the Elderly and Disabled exclusion and the Circuit Breaker, all applied for on one form with the June 1 deadline at (336) 753-6120.

100% permanently service-connected or a VA permanent-and-total finding. The 45,000-dollar Disabled Veterans Exclusion needs the honorable discharge and the VA proof on the AV-9; the county takes the filing. The rating filter never hides this entry.
