Show FiltersHide Filters

A filter hides a benefit only when that benefit has a rating gate and the rating you set misses it. A benefit with no rating gate stays on the list. No disability needed keeps only the benefits a living veteran can use without any service-connected disability rating: one that needs a rating or a disability, or may, stays off, and so does one only a surviving spouse or other family member can use. Who it is for means who can receive the benefit in their own right; a survivor is the family of a veteran or service member who died, and a child of one is listed under both. This is not an eligibility decision.

The Webster Parish Assessor (103 South Monroe St., Minden, (318) 377-9311; Cullen satellite office, (318) 539-3301) takes the disabled veteran homestead exemption and the Veterans Disability Freeze for a veteran rated 50% or more. 50% or more for the freeze and the exemption tiers. The Veterans Disability Freeze starts at a 50% service-connected rating; the Assessor’s page puts the extended exemption at 100% (up to $15,000 of assessed value), while the State entry gives tiers from 50%.
