Nueces Central Appraisal District: Disabled Veteran Exemptions
The Nueces Central Appraisal District's site lists only the partial disabled veteran exemption by name. It files the form for the 100% homestead and the surviving spouse exemptions under the general homestead section, and its online homestead application was switched off in October 2026.
Also called: property tax, appraisal district, NCAD, 11.131, 11.22, 11.133, 11.136, homestead, form 50-114, form 50-135, surviving spouse, unemployability, Corpus Christi.
The exemptions are the State's; the Texas entries explain them. The Nueces Central Appraisal District grants them for property in Nueces County.
What the site says. Its forms page lists one disabled veteran exemption, the partial exemption of Tax Code 11.22 (form 50-135). It lists form 50-114 only as "Homestead Exemption", against section 11.13, the general homestead exemption, with a link to apply online that opened a Jotform reading "This form is currently unavailable!" on October 3, 2026.
What it leaves out. Form 50-114 is also the application for the total exemptions: the homestead of a veteran paid 100% compensation and rated 100% or unemployable (section 11.131), and the exemptions of the veteran's surviving spouse (11.131(c)), the donated residence (11.132), the surviving spouse of a member killed or fatally injured in the line of duty (11.133), and, from 2026, the surviving spouse of a veteran who died of a presumptive condition (11.136). None of them is named anywhere on the district's site. File form 50-114 and tick the box for the exemption claimed; a veteran may file the 100% application up to five years late. The forms the site links are the Comptroller's current editions.
Questions go through the district's help desk under "Property Tax Exemptions", or to 201 N. Chaparral Street, Corpus Christi 78401, 361-881-9978.
