Rock County

Street address

Start typing a street address. VetTOC reads only the county or town from it and opens its page.

Choose a level. County is what this county sets or runs itself. State is what Nebraska provides everywhere, including here. Federal is always last.

A filter hides a benefit only when that benefit has a rating gate and the rating you set misses it. A benefit with no rating gate stays on the list. No disability needed keeps only the benefits a living veteran can use without any service-connected disability rating: one that needs a rating or a disability, or may, stays off, and so does one only a surviving spouse or other family member can use. Who it is for means who can receive the benefit in their own right; a survivor is the family of a veteran or service member who died, and a child of one is listed under both. This is not an eligibility decision.

Brown County’s weekday Veterans Service Office in Ainsworth, under Veterans Service Officer Jake Graff, helps veterans and dependents with federal, State and county benefits, places grave flag holders and, under a standing agreement, also serves Keya Paha and Rock Counties, which paid Brown County $24,031.39 toward it in 2024-2025.

Any veteran or dependent in Brown, Keya Paha or Rock County. Claims help, grave flag holders and homestead help need no rating; the rating filter never hides this entry.

Rock County (Nebraska) Veterans Aid Fund, through the Brown County office

Rock County’s section 80-102 Veterans Aid Fund has grown only on interest to $24,976.97 (July 2025), paying nothing in two years, and budgets all of it for 2025-2026; Rock County veterans apply through Brown County’s officer in Ainsworth, and the county’s page still asks for wartime service and an honorable discharge, tests the 2024 amendment removed.

Veteran, spouse, surviving spouse or minor child in need. Section 80-102 as amended in 2024: honorable or general service, a year in Nebraska and six months in Rock County, and need the committee assesses; the county page’s wartime test no longer applies. No rating is required.
