Nance County

Street address

Start typing a street address. VetTOC reads only the county or town from it and opens its page.

Choose a level. County is what this county sets or runs itself. State is what Nebraska provides everywhere, including here. Federal is always last.

A filter hides a benefit only when that benefit has a rating gate and the rating you set misses it. A benefit with no rating gate stays on the list. Who it is for means who can receive the benefit in their own right; a survivor is the family of a veteran or service member who died, and a child of one is listed under both. This is not an eligibility decision.

Hall County’s Veterans Service Office at 131 S. Locust Street in Grand Island, under county veterans service officer Donald L. Shuda, files federal, state and county claims and, by interlocal agreements, also serves Howard, Nance and Sherman Counties; its veterans service committee, not the county board, controls the contract dollars those counties pay.

Any veteran, dependent or survivor in Hall, Howard, Nance or Sherman County. The office files federal, state and county claims for veterans and their families; no rating is required, so the rating filter never hides this entry.

Free help with a VA claim

A county veterans service officer, a town veterans’ agent or a state service office helps you file VA claims for free, most of them through staff VA has accredited. VA does not let anyone charge you for help filing an initial claim.
