Show FiltersHide Filters

A filter hides a benefit only when that benefit has a rating gate and the rating you set misses it. A benefit with no rating gate stays on the list. No disability needed keeps only the benefits a living veteran can use without any service-connected disability rating: one that needs a rating or a disability, or may, stays off, and so does one only a surviving spouse or other family member can use. Who it is for means who can receive the benefit in their own right; a survivor is the family of a veteran or service member who died, and a child of one is listed under both. This is not an eligibility decision.

Fairbanks North Star Borough Veterans Memorial Park

MiscellaneousFairbanks North Star Borough, AK · County

A borough park under renovation through the Fairbanks North Star Borough Capital Improvement Program: the gazebo is being replaced, a new plaza installed, aging trees removed and replaced, landscaping refreshed and accessible paths added, supplemented by tree and commemorative-brick sponsorships; the construction area closed to public use on May 27, 2025, with a reopening expected in 2026.

Open to the public; sponsorships open to all. The park and its sponsorship program are not gated by service or rating; the entry is recorded so the rating filter never hides it.

Fairbanks Veterans Court

MiscellaneousFairbanks North Star Borough, AK · County

A specialized court of the Alaska Court System for veterans charged with criminal offenses in the Fairbanks area, built around VA treatment: participants must be VA-eligible, referred from a felony, misdemeanor, pretrial or felony-probation posture, 18 or older, and maintain housing within the borough during the program.

VA-eligible veterans referred from criminal matters. Eligibility runs on veteran status, VA eligibility, a referral from a felony, misdemeanor or probation posture and a VA-treatable treatment need. No rating is required, so the rating filter never hides this benefit.
