Choose a level. County is what this county sets or runs itself. State is what Texas provides everywhere, including here. Federal is always last.

Show FiltersHide Filters

A filter hides a benefit only when that benefit has a rating gate and the rating you set misses it. A benefit with no rating gate stays on the list. No disability needed keeps only the benefits a living veteran can use without any service-connected disability rating: one that needs a rating or a disability, or may, stays off, and so does one only a surviving spouse or other family member can use. Who it is for means who can receive the benefit in their own right; a survivor is the family of a veteran or service member who died, and a child of one is listed under both. This is not an eligibility decision.

Collin Central Appraisal District: Disabled Veteran Exemptions

HousingCollin County, TX · County

The Collin Central Appraisal District states the 100% homestead exemption and the five-year late filing window as the Tax Code does, but keeps a surviving spouse's exemption only where the veteran qualified in the year of death, omits the $12,000 routes for veterans 65 or older, blind or with loss of a limb, and says nothing of the line-of-duty, donated home or presumptive-condition exemptions.

10% for the partial exemption; 100% or unemployable for the homestead. The partial exemption starts at 10%, and some routes need no percentage. The total homestead exemption needs 100% compensation with a 100% or unemployability rating. The surviving spouse exemptions need no rating.
