Choose a level. County is what this county sets or runs itself. State is what Tennessee provides everywhere, including here. Federal is always last.

A filter hides a benefit only when that benefit has a rating gate and the rating you set misses it. A benefit with no rating gate stays on the list. No disability needed keeps only the benefits a living veteran can use without any service-connected disability rating: one that needs a rating or a disability, or may, stays off, and so does one only a surviving spouse or other family member can use. Who it is for means who can receive the benefit in their own right; a survivor is the family of a veteran or service member who died, and a child of one is listed under both. This is not an eligibility decision.

Roane County (Tennessee) Trustee: State Tax Relief and the Tax Freeze

HousingRoane County, TN · County

The Roane County Trustee, Chris Mason, at the courthouse, 200 E. Race Street, Suite 4, Kingston (865-376-4938), takes the paperwork for the State's property tax relief - for veterans with certain service-connected disabilities, spouses of veterans killed in action, homeowners 65 or older or 100% disabled - and for the property tax freeze; the State makes the final determination.

Permanent and total, as VA determines it. The State relief the Roane County Trustee takes the paperwork for. The rating route in 67-5-704(b)(3) asks for service-connected permanent and total disability as determined by VA, which a veteran paid at the total rate through unemployability that VA has found permanent also holds. It is recorded rather than enforced because the paraplegia, blindness and loss-of-limbs route and the prisoner of war route need no rating at all.
