A filter hides a benefit only when that benefit has a rating gate and the rating you set misses it. A benefit with no rating gate stays on the list. No disability needed keeps only the benefits a living veteran can use without any service-connected disability rating: one that needs a rating or a disability, or may, stays off, and so does one only a surviving spouse or other family member can use. Who it is for means who can receive the benefit in their own right; a survivor is the family of a veteran or service member who died, and a child of one is listed under both. This is not an eligibility decision.

Red Willow County Veterans’ Aid Fund

MiscellaneousRed Willow County, NE · County

Red Willow County’s Veterans’ Aid fund under section 80-102 holds $9,327.89 and has paid nothing since at least 2023 - it grows only by $55.28 a year of in-lieu-of-tax money - and the county’s page, updated in February 2026, still prints the wartime-era and honorable-only test that LB1300 removed.

Veteran, spouse, surviving spouse or minor child in need. Section 80-102 as amended in 2024: honorable or general service, a year in Nebraska and six months in Red Willow County, and need the committee assesses; the county page’s wartime test no longer applies. No rating is required.

Free help with a VA claim

A county veterans service officer, a town veterans’ agent or a state service office helps you file VA claims for free, most of them through staff VA has accredited. VA does not let anyone charge you for help filing an initial claim.
