Start typing a street address. VetTOC reads only the county or town from it and opens its page.

Choose a level. County is what this county sets or runs itself. State is what Montana provides everywhere, including here. Federal is always last.

A filter hides a benefit only when that benefit has a rating gate and the rating you set misses it. A benefit with no rating gate stays on the list. No disability needed keeps only the benefits a living veteran can use without any service-connected disability rating: one that needs a rating or a disability, or may, stays off, and so does one only a surviving spouse or other family member can use. Who it is for means who can receive the benefit in their own right; a survivor is the family of a veteran or service member who died, and a child of one is listed under both. This is not an eligibility decision.

Death & Survivor BenefitsFlathead County, MT · County

Flathead County pays up to $500 toward a qualifying resident veteran's interment and up to $100 toward a headstone, under MCA 10-2-501 and county resolution 2296 of June 13, 2011. The Clerk & Recorder takes the claim with the death certificate, the DD214 and proof of payment, and the Finance Department reimburses the applicant directly.

A resident veteran, honorably discharged, who was buried on the claim. The allowance reaches an honorably discharged veteran who was a Flathead County resident, under MCA 10-2-101 and 10-2-501; the claim is made after death, so the rating filter never hides this benefit.

Health careFlathead County, MT · County

The Flathead County Agency on Aging runs the Veteran-Directed Care program in Kalispell, through which a veteran hires and supervises care providers, family members included, and publishes the county's veteran resource list: the MVAD Kalispell office, the Kalispell VA clinic, and rides to the Fort Harrison VA hospital on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Veterans needing care or a ride. Veteran-Directed Care serves veterans who need daily-living help and choose their own providers; the resources list is open to any county veteran. No rating is required, so the rating filter never hides this benefit.
