Where it applies

Written for the jurisdictions listed here.

The assessor’s page says the office administers “various state and local benefit programs for our Elderly and Disabled Homeowners, as well as our Veterans and Legally Blind residents” and points to the office for assistance with any of the available programs. The assessor’s forms page lists a “Totally Disabled Tax Exemption (Form D-1)” as plain text with no link, and no amounts are printed anywhere. Form D-1 is OPM’s application for the $1,000 exemption of assessed value C.G.S. 12-81(55) gives a totally disabled person, proved by eligibility for permanent and total disability benefits under Social Security or a comparable government retirement plan; the application for the 12-81(83) dwelling exemption of a veteran VA rates permanently and totally disabled at 100 percent is the D-2, which the page does not list. The wartime exemption is $1,000 of assessed value under C.G.S. 12-81(19), with the 12-81g(a) additional exemption of twice that for income under the 12-81l limit, $46,300 single and $56,500 married for the 2026 grand list. Plymouth’s code is on eCode360 (PL6921), which stayed behind its Cloudflare challenge (dubiousenvelope/vettoc issue 168), and the town did not answer OLR’s 2023 survey, so no local option was found; ask the assessor.
