Free Oklahoma Driver License for 100 Percent Disabled Veterans
A veteran paid by VA at the 100 percent rate for a permanent disability pays nothing to get, renew or replace an Oklahoma driver licence or state ID. A "veteran 100%" emblem was due on licences by March 1, 2026, but Service Oklahoma's own pages do not yet offer it.
Also called: 47 O.S. 6-101(P), 47 O.S. 6-124, driver license fee, REAL ID, state ID, 100% emblem, Service Oklahoma.
For: Veteran or service member.

Thresholds
| Gate | Rule |
|---|---|
| Paid at the 100 percent rate on a schedular rating | 47 O.S. § 6-101(P): "in receipt of compensation at the one-hundred-percent rate" for a disability that "shall be permanent". |
| The disability must be permanent | 47 O.S. § 6-101(P). A temporary 100 percent rating does not meet the words. |
| Or paid at the 100 percent rate through individual unemployability | 47 O.S. § 6-101(P). The test is the rate of compensation, which unemployability pays, not the schedular percentage. |
| Permanent on the unemployability route too | 47 O.S. § 6-101(P). Unemployability that VA has not found permanent does not meet the words. |
| Registered with the Veterans Registry | 47 O.S. § 6-101(P). |

An annual cleanup act that amends one version of each multiply-enacted section and repeals the rest. It merged the five printed versions of 68 O.S. § 1357 into one whose paragraph 34 covers the unremarried spouse of a service member who died in the line of duty and excuses a veteran who previously received the sales tax exemption from registering with the Veterans Registry, and merged the three versions of 68 O.S. § 2358 and the four of 47 O.S. § 6-101 without changing the military retirement, military pay or 100 percent driver licence provisions. Signed May 6, 2026 with an emergency clause, so in force on approval.
