Where it applies

Written for the jurisdictions listed here.

The ordinance. County Code section 210-060 (Ordinance 287, 1965): "Every soldier, sailor or marine of the United States, who has received an honorable discharge or has been released from active duty with his branch of service, under honorable conditions, and who shall apply for a permit as required by this Chapter, shall be issued such permit without payment of the fee prescribed in Section 210-050 herein. Such veteran shall be subject to all other requirements and conditions of this Chapter without exception. Such exception shall not apply to any member of the veteran's family, to his employee or his agents." What it saves. Section 210-050 sets the permit at $42 a year or $21 for six months, plus $10 for the notary on the release and waiver form, after the Sheriff's investigation. The permit is needed to sell or take orders door to door, or to sell outside a permanent building, in the unincorporated county; cities issue their own. The exemption follows Business and Professions Code 16102 (see the California entry). Apply to the Sheriff on the Sheriff's form with the DD-214; hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday to Saturday, for soliciting.
