The Board's year. On November 12, 2025 the Board approved the chairman's signature on the Nebraska Department of Veterans' Affairs' memorandum of understanding for the office's use of the web-based database "VetraSpec", after Mr. Schneck told it the software "has a high security profile, is well established and widely used"; on September 16, 2026 it approved a second memorandum, with Tyler Technologies, for the same database. The Veterans Service Committee's president, Stan Vyhlidal, resigned and the committee elected Ed O'Neil president effective March 4, 2026 (received by the Board March 18, 2026), and on June 24, 2026 the Board appointed Connie O'Berg, Army (retired) of Fremont, to the committee for a five-year term to June 30, 2031. The county keeps a $3,000 Courthouse Veterans' Monument line in its budget and features the North Bend Veterans Memorial on its site. Veterans Day is a county holiday; the Board moved its November 11, 2026 meeting to November 10 for it.
