Where it applies

Written for the jurisdictions listed here.

Georgia's accountability courts, including veterans treatment courts, rest on Code section 15-1-17; see the Georgia entry. Cherokee County's own page: "Cherokee County Veterans Treatment Court's (CCVTC) mission is to successfully rehabilitate veterans with substance use and/or mental health disorders who have come into contact with the criminal justice system through criminal activity in Cherokee County by coordinating judicially supervised treatment and community resources..." And: "Purpose: Cherokee County Veterans Treatment Court (CCVTC) seeks to divert eligible veteran defendants with substance dependency and/or mental illness that are charged with criminal offenses, to a specialized criminal court." What is not published. The page fetched names no coordinator, phone or detailed eligibility list, and the county's site answers 403 to automated fetches (this entry rests on the Internet Archive's April 10, 2026 capture), so a Cherokee veteran asks the Blue Ridge Judicial Circuit's Cherokee courthouse or the county's accountability courts office. The county's Helping Veterans page, last archived May 2024, lists the court among community resources.
