Section 10-2-115 lets a Montana county establish a veterans' service office and does not require one. Cascade County's site lists no such office and its Agency on Aging page names no veteran programme; the veterans docket above is the county's veteran-specific function. The claims route for a Cascade County veteran is the Montana Veteran Services Program, whose Great Falls office is listed at (406) 452-2265, [email protected], staffed by nationally accredited Veteran Service Officers who file federal claims at no cost, including compensation and pension claims, appeals, survivor claims and military records requests. Montana's disabled veteran property tax assistance is a Department of Revenue programme under 15-6-311, so the county has no exemption application of its own to run; the State entry carries it. The county's interment duties under 10-2-501 run through its designated veterans' interment supervisor, whom the section requires the commissioners to designate; the county's site does not name the current supervisor.
